My Requirements

We are looking for an experienced nanny to look after our autistic boy aged 6 along with his twin brother who is more independent, for after school hours and potentially school holidays.

We are looking for someone who can engage with the boys, build a strong and caring bond with them, stay calm and patient during challlenging moments and de-escalate a tricky situation.

Overall responsibilities include:

• Organise engaging activities with the boys at home after school; optionally attending various groups and classes

• Cook or help with cooking healthy meals for the children, supervise them at meal time and encourage a more diverse diet and help them maintain good table manners
• Laundry for the children's clothing and bedding using home appliance
• Maintaining good hygiene and tidiness in all areas the boys sleep and play, including their bedroom and play areas.
• Ability to use all equipment relating to the children and making sure they are clean and well functioning

• Happy to maintain their existing routine as well as taking initiatives to improve and evolve it as the children develop.
• Liaising with mum and dad.
• Optionally administering medication in an accurate and timely fashion when the children are unwell

The Nanny:

• Reliable, experienced, caring, proactive, energetic, capable and confident
• Well organised. Attention to details especially when it comes to hygiene, health and safety.
• Good communication skills

Skills and Experience:

• Plenty of experience with primay school age children as a sole charge nanny or in an education setting. Ability to engage with the children a must. Experience with ASD a plus.
• References from at least two recent employers a must.
• Fluency in English a must. Native speaker and/or Multi-lingual skill a plus.
• Right to work in the UK a must.
• Ofsted registration a plus.
• Paediatric First Aid a plus.
• Enhanced DBS a plus.
• Clean, fully qualified UK driving license a plus.

Salary:

• Gross £15 - £18 per hour depending on level of capability and engagement
