About Me
My name is Steph!
I am situated on the Weates Close Estate in Widnes. I have all the relevant checks in place and my partner has got a DBS check.
I am a "Good "Ofsted registered childminder, plus I am also a fully qualified Teaching Assistant with many years experience. I have two boys aged 6 and 14 ,and absolutely love working with children and watching them develop. I am a kind, approachable person who completely understands how important it is to find the right childcare.
Fully paedactric first aid trained plus lots of additional training. My safeguarding training has just been updated. I am registered with Childcare.co.uk, and I have the relevant insurance in place including business car insurance. I have a large outdoor area for the children and my indoor space has been converted into a working space dedicated to the children. lots of resources are available to help support your child to develop to the best of their ability.
I am open full days Monday to Thursday for children ages 2 plus and pre school.
I now also do breakfast and after school club with pick up and drop off at Moorfield Primary School. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further information. I would be happy to help!
My Experience
I have many years experience working with children. I have worked in a nursery setting ,plus a local primary school and I have also worked as a cover supervisor in a high school.
Having 2 children myself gives me the understanding of how important it is to provide the best childcare and how vital my job role is. Children need to be given the best chance to develop to their full potential before leaving me to go on to start their journey onto Primary School.
Being a fully qualified Teaching Assistant with a level 3 Diploma gives me the knowledge and experience of how to plan and assess to a high standard, and deliver the most fun stimulating activities along with the best care and nurture.
My Qualifications
I have a level 2 in Maths and English
Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in the supporting of Teaching and Learning in schools ages 0-19years.

My little girl loves going to Steph so much she even asks for 'Stephy' at the weekend! A real home-from-home experience, Steph is so warm and welcoming to the little ones. I get regular updates throughout the day, and Steph provides lots of learning and fun activities, including trips out the the park, the farm, walks in the local area etc. My girl has grown so much in confidence, as Steph identified this as an area for development and has been working hard to bring her out of her shell. I honestly could not recommend Steph enough! She goes way beyond the call of duty, gives updates throughout the day, sends beautiful pictures of my girl having fun and is so kind you know your child is in the best hands! My daughter has come so far since being with Steph, her speech, counting, letters, shapes, colours everything has come on leaps and bounds! Regular development updates so you know where your child is up to and a little newsletter for the plans for that term/half term. My daughter is off to school in September and I’m honestly gutted she can’t stay with Steph till she’s 16!!!! If you’re looking for childcare look no further than Stephy!!!
