About Me
I am a registered childminder with 20 years experience. I have been inspected by Ofsted in November 2018 and received 'Good' grade. I have been CRB checked.
I have a vacancy for an under 5 Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
I pick up/drop off from Chesterfield School. I live a 5 minute walk to Enfield Lock station and directly on the 121 bus route. I have two sons, one 29 and one 26, who both live at home.
I offer full time and/or part time care in a homely, caring and safe atmosphere with a full range of activities, including a spacious garden with a variety of toys and equipment (indoor and out). I attend playgroups and children’s groups which I strongly believe will help the children to effectively develop on a social level. I am a firm believer in outside play and we spend lots of time exploring local parks and natural areas, learning about our local community and the nature around us.
I believe that children learn best when they feel safe and secure and I am able to provide a relaxed and homely environment for the children I care for where the care I provide is tailored for their individual needs. I have a safe and secure garden that they can explore and enjoy lots of sensory play.
My Experience
I have been registered for over 20 years and have looked after children aged from 5 weeks until 12 years. During my years as a childminder I have looked after many children with a range of individual needs, including supporting potty training, weaning, helping children with any speech and language delays.
My Qualifications
I am up-to-date with all statutory training required by Ofsted:-
First Aid
Child Protection and Safeguarding
I also hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate
I regularly undertake further training to keep up to date with statutory changes in the Early Years sector and to keep my practice up to date and relevant, which helps me to continually reassess my provision and ensure children are provided with exciting and interesting play opportunities. 1 x full time 0-5 years - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursday
I work from 7.00am - 5.30pm

Our daughter has been with Wendy since she was 6 months old. Wendy is a fantastic childminder. She takes the children to many clubs, Outtings and does many activities with them whether that be at home or outside.
Our daughter loves spending time with Wendy and the children she looks after. Her home is warm and welcoming.
Our daughter only attends 1 day a week now, as we were unable to get a nursery place by Wendy.
I highly recommend Wendy as you will not find a childminder that gives so much to your childs development and needs.
