About Me
Hi! My name is Alex. I am a fun, loving and outgoing mum; I live on Forest Road in Tunbridge Wells with my husband and my three boys.
After a long career in London and having my first son, I made the decision to follow my passion and change careers to look after children professionally. For as long as I can remember I have had an affinity with children. Growing up in a large family of six siblings ranging in age gave me plenty of foundation experience and then having my own children built further upon this.
I run a successful wrap around care service which has been going for the last 7 years. I have looked after many children with differing needs over this time which I have loved. I thoroughly enjoy working with children and I think this reflects in how happy children are in my care.
Now that my sons are all at school and I have more capacity, I would like to extend my offering to provide childcare services during the day. Your child will the balance of my undivided attention during the day with the added benefit of the interaction with older children during the school club hours with the many social skills and advantages that brings. My children are extremely outgoing and social with a very developed vocabulary and I truly believe this is due to interacting with older children very a very young age.
I’m excited for this opportunity and look forward to providing an enriching environment for your child during the day to compliment my existing wrap around care work.
I live in a beautiful, spacious house on Forest Road and pride myself on having a safe, clean and smoke-free home. I have a large play room filled with lots of toys for children of all ages and a library with a wide selection of children’s books. I have an enclosed child-friendly garden with a trampoline, sand pit and outdoor ride on vehicles and scooters, etc. I also have a dedicated art space for children to create freely and independently whenever they choose to do so. I believe in children learning through play experiences and realise it is important to offer them a large variety of activities to take part in.
I love spending time in nature and the outdoors and I absolutely LOVE arts and crafts and messy play. I offer healthy vegetarian homecooked meals with fresh ingredients and plenty of fruit and veg.
I am ofsted registered early years practitioner which means I organising age-appropriate activities to stimulate their physical, educational and emotional development.
I have completed a childminding course, a paediatric first aid course, have an up to date DBS certificate and can provide references from previous childcare charges.

I am available for term time and school holidays, with availability on Mondays through to Thursdays (Fridays are negotiable). I’m not available at weekends, unless it’s a pre-arranged one off here and there.

Our daughter has been regularly cared for by Alex since starting reception last year and I can honestly say, she is exceptional. She takes a genuine interest in my daughter's wellbeing, emotionally and academically, offering proactive ideas and suggestions to support her. She clearly loves childminding and invests time & energy in her own training & development. She has become an invaluable support and my daughter loves her! Would highly recommend.

My two children have been with Alex for over two years and thoroughly enjoy their time in her care. There’s always plenty of activities and Alex ensures these are catered for all age groups: these vary at each setting so the kids always remain entertained. When I was working in London and needed extra flexibility Alex always tried her best to accommodate our needs which was super helpful.

Our daughter has been going to Alex's for wrap around care for nearly two years now and our son will be joining from September. Alex is such a lovely person, really kind, caring and fun, our daughter loves going to her house before and after school. Alex provides lovely home cooked meals and does all sorts of fun crafty and messy play activities with the kids, she also has a great selection of toys and dressing up which they love. We highly recommend Alex for wrap around care :-)

Alex has been looking after our daughter for almost two years, since she started in Reception. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families. She’s great fun, as well as supportive and just the right amount of strict so the kids know to behave with her. She keeps us updated as parents, and critically she really cares about the children. She is so inventive and imaginative with games. She has tons of educational toys so she has also really helped with reading, writing and counting. She looks after our daughter 4 days a week after school and occasionally during holidays too.
She cooks healthy meals, takes the kids out for fresh air and she is very flexible with us as working parents. She’s just brilliant!

Alex has surpassed our expectations in providing wrap-around and holiday care for our eldest daughter. It speaks volumes that our daughter asks every day if she can go to Alex’s house!
Alex provides a fun and caring environment and a flexible and supportive approach to childcare. We could not rate her highly enough.
