My name is Nicola and I am 25 years of age, I would best describe myself as very bubbly and chatty I am a very reliable and hard working young girl who enjoys spending time with children as I believe they can always make you laugh and it's good to encourage children to enjoy themselves each day.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends socialising or doing an event. I also enjoy holidays which may be relaxing sun holidays or city breaks exploring what is on offer around our local area.
I also enjoy doing some home cooking myself due to food allergies I cook a lot of my meals from scratch and possibly spend a few hours per week making new meals and snacks.
I also enjoy various sporting activities and like to get active as much as I can this may be attending the gym, playing football with the children or going walking. I would also love to travel with this job and perhaps see some of the world at the same time.
I also hold a full clean driving license for over three years and own my car which is of family size and can hold prams for younger children.
My Experience
I am recently qualified with the current highest qualification in childcare and the first to gain the most recent qualification level to date.
I currently work as a nanny/mothers help to a family of three young children ages four, three and two. I have been in this position since August 2018 which I throughly enjoy, my duties include daily and weekly are taking the two older children to nursery and various other clubs that they attend, meal prep for the full day, bathing at night and also educational activities throughout the day in spare time. When the two older children are at nursery I am at home with the younger child while she is sleeping I will do light house work, I then ensure my child is fed we read books and play educational games. I also administer medication for the children and ensure they get the correct medication each day.
I also currently nanny for a private family with four children age ranges from 7-13 which I have been doing for over two years now which has allowed me to grow a close bond with the family.
I have two years expireence of placement through college which ages ranged from birth (12 weeks) - 5 years old, I got the opportunity to work in each room to give me a vast experience of caring for all ages and also to gain different age and stage development mile stones. Having doing these placement’s it has offered me a vast amount of expirence as I was able to work with children from birth (12 weeks) to school age. I helped children learn and grow through SPECL development and everything is always child led, I would also ensure I was up to date with the latest phase as that's what children are around each day.
As I have previously mentioned I currently nanny for family that has four children age varying from 7-13 years, this can sometimes be challenging but rewarding at the same time. Due to children's age I currently do after school care two days a week and also some time over the weekend, through the week I support all children with homework and give assistance where possible, I also make the children nutritional dinners and enjoy a bit of home cooking along with there help. I also have the children for longer days during the school holidays to allow the parents to work. While here I also help around with some light housework and ensure children are ready for all sporting clubs each night.
