About Me
Hi! My name is Talitha, I am an actress, teacher, childminder, babysitter, primary age tutor and play worker based in North London (Finchley) I have over 8 years experience working with children and young people on a 1:1, as well as group basis. I currently work as a Learning Support Assistant in a Middle School, working with children who are on the Special Educational Needs Register. I have a particular interest in teaching Drama and have worked as part of the Watermill Theatre Outreach Team and Drama Queens Ltd, as a lead teacher and workshop facilitator. I am also a London Academy of Dramatic Arts exam tutor. I have extensive experience working with children with special educational needs, autism and challenging behaviour; having worked closely with children under 12 years who have a diagnosis of autism, speech and language difficulties and ADHD. I believe every child deserves to be cared and provided for in a way that suits their individual needs, in a safe supportive environment where they can thrive! I am fully DBS checked, and have references available on request.
My Experience
I have worked as a private babysitter for over 8 years. I have also worked for Role Models Creative Childcare, providing one to one support for young people in London. I have worked closely with children with SEN, taking them to play therapy, and other therapeutic activities. Further to this, I work as a lead teacher for Drama Queens Ltd specialising in 3 to 5 year olds. In this role I facilitate drama workshops, with songs and games for young children. My interest in Drama Therapy has sprung from 8 years working as an Outreach Facilitator working with children in the community with a particular focus on children in care, and difficult home lives. I also work for ShadowMakers, a Puppetry and Drama Group that take educational theatre into primary schools around London.
In other areas I work as an Actress represented exclusively by TBArtists. I have also worked for Youth Realities a charity providing support for young people affected by Domestic Abuse in Barnett. All of these jobs have given me an extensive skill set when it comes to working with young people. I am confident and have well rounded knowledge of working with children and provide a friendly, safe and reliable service.
