About Me
We are a family of four with a 8 year old daughter, a 10 year old son, a dog and a cat. Our son is severely disabled and we use funding through West Sussex County Council and Sussex Community NHS Children's Continuing Care to pay for carers/Personal Assistants and we are looking to add to our team, this can be a single person or multiple people.
He is a full time wheelchair user and we have hoisting in the house to help with this. He has a feeding tube into his stomach which we give food and medications, he has medicine very frequently throughout the day. He can't talk or hold up his head, but he can smile and has a very cheeky personality. Underneath all this he is just a little boy who loves being outside, Harry Potter and animals.
We can provide training on all the medical elements and we would be your employers so tax & NI is included in the hourly rate. We will require you to complete a DBS.
My Requirements
We are currently looking for before school, after school and weekends. We are flexible around these, but a general idea:
Monday - Friday 6am-9am
Monday - Friday 5pm-7pm
Saturdays - 7am-7pm
Sundays - 7am-7pm
We are close to the university so this might work well for a student. We employ a team of people who cover a variety of shifts. There will also be ad hoc shifts for school holidays, holiday cover, babysitting evenings and when we attend medical appointments.
