My Summary
About Me
I am a mother of four children aged 16, 13 and twins of 6.
I grew up in Teignmouth and worked alongside my mother as a childminder ( for 8 years ) when I was 20.
I have always loved looking after children and have, over the past 18 years developed a huge amount of experience and qualifications.
We love the outdoors as a family and enjoy camping as often as possible.
We own a large house with a beautiful garden which we share with our cats, dogs and rabbits.
My real love is caring for babies / new born - which has seen me place my advert on here. I would love to help anyone who hopes to return to work and be confident that their little one is being cared for.
I am more than happy to provide references, please just ask.

My Experience
Throughout my career I have strived to learn a greater understanding of the care and support I offer children and families.
I have sought out CPD opportunities and this started when I became a childminder and undertook my NVQ3- progressing onto a Foundation degree and then a BA Hons in Early childhood studies.
When the chance arose to study more and gain further qualifications I have always been eager. I trained as a Forest school teacher whilst childminding as I saw the positive impact that nature had for the children in my care.
I have undertaken a huge number of courses, including, but not limited to:
Adapting Low Intensity Clinical Practice for Children and Young People with Autism;
FT-AN Eating Disorder Training
Level 3 safeguarding training
Sleep champion
Drawing and Talking therapist.
My entire career has been working with children and families and I am a strong believer in the family being the experts on their child.
My current role is working for Devon county council as a community health worker completing developmental reviews on young children- supporting parents with feeding, sleep, behaviour, routines, anything that a little one throws at you!
I have therefore undergone a recent DBs check, and hold an up to date paediatric first aid certificate.
