(Messages on here stating I respond more than a day in account of the fact that I stopped using this service and have now just recently come back to it and updated everything)
My passion is working with Children, I have finished my college courses to qualify me to work with children. I have just surpassed three years nannying with premature newborn experience. I have completed volunteer work at nursery settings and enjoy teaching children new things and developing their education and wellbeing. I feel I am a very creative individual, I enjoy creating new activities for children to take part in and tailor them to the child's individual needs.
I enjoy cooking, reading, colouring, writing and spending time outdoors.
My Experience
I have three years of Nannying/mothers help experience with a lovely family of six (four children) which has allowed me to procure experience in caring for premature newborn twins and their two older siblings, including -
- nappy changing, toilet training for two older siblings (and currently said twins)
- feeding/recording of feed times/baby led weaning/exploring new tastes and textures
- recording of naps
- upkeep of overall hygiene, e.g. bathing, oral hygiene, strip wash between baths
- communication of handover logs
- creation and engagement of age appropriate enrichment activities
- accompanying Mum to different activity classes and I have accompanied the family on a holiday to Centre Parcs.
I have also had the lovely honour of being made Godparent to the twin boys.
This list is not exhaustive. The children are now 5, 4 and the twin boys are now 3 years old and very sadly my role is coming to an end in January.
I have 3 Years experience of working in a Nursery Setting as part of my courses. I've previously babysat for a few different families approximately 4-5 times a month. I've worked for KIDS, a Disabled Children's & Young persons Charity organisation on an adhoc basis, completed my Foundation Course in Creative Arts Therapies and Wellbeing and am have worked for Mencap Summer Club, another organisation which provides activities for 5-16 yr olds during the summer holiday.
My Qualifications
I have my Level 2 and Level 3 In Childcare qualifications, Foundation Certificate in Creative Arts Therapies and Wellbeing.
My Availability
Ideally I'm looking for between 15 and 30 hours a week but I am willing to be flexible
