My Summary
About Me
I am looking for a part time nanny/babysitter role of 6-8 hours per week from June.
I have previously worked in a private nursery setting and as a nanny for a wonderful family with older children, and had a career change into childrens services in safeguarding.
I had my own baby girl last May so I am looking to go back to work in June, for a limited amount of hours so I can still take care of my little girl.
My Experience
2018-2019- I worked in a private nursery in Maidenhead, taking care of children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years (my main age group was 2-3 years). My role included providing physical and emotional care for children and setting targets and planning activities according to the EYFS to help aid their development.
2019-2022- I worked as a nanny for a wonderful local family, when I started the children were 9 and 11 years old. Duties included arriving before school time to make breakfast, help them get ready for school, school trips, assisting with homework and ensuring they were organised, cooking dinners for the family, washing, general tidying up after myself and the children, during the school holidays I worked full time including planning days/trips for the children and involving them in a range of activities such as walking, baking, cooking, arts and crafts, swimming etc.
2022- current- Achieving for Children as a family support worker in childrens safeguarding. This role was completely new to me but one that I learned so much from and enjoyed making a difference in children and families lives. Roles include direct work with vulnerable children and families with ongoing safeguarding issues. Working with other services such as family hub, schools and parents where necessary. Working alongside social workers in meetings, on home visits and feeding back to them my observations and interactions with the children I work with. Completing life journey books for children who have been adopted. Supervising contacts between families and children.
My Qualifications
Certificate of higher education in children and families (level 4 equivalent)
Safeguarding level 2
Attachment level 2
My Availability
