The best care we could have asked for

Helen started looking after our daughter from 7 months old and she is now almost 2.5 years old. She has been absolutely wonderful with Maggie and has become a very important part of our lives. Helen has such a lovely connection with all of the children she looks after and it is clear how much she cares about them. Maggie is incredibly confident and easy going and I think a lot of this is down to the secure and stimulating environment Helen has created for the children. Helen has a great house with a garden which the kids all seem to love. They also go on trips every day, giving the kids a chance to explore the outdoors and do more socialising. My husband and I are in full time work and Helen has been incredibly flexible and reliable. I don't know how we would have coped without her, especially throughout this challenging time.
Helen's experience and relaxed nature has given me (and continues to) so much confidence as a new Mum. We are both so chuffed that Maggie was able to start childcare with a childminder. We love that she moved from our home to another comfortable home setting and that she has time with children of various ages. I hope the relationships she has formed with all of the children as well as Helen will continue for many years.

Outstanding care provider

Helen has cared for both our sons since they were around 10 months old and for around the last 7 years. In a nutshell, we couldn't have managed without her and we can't recommend her highly enough.

The children she cares for adore her. She provides a homely, stimulating and fun environment. The children develop a strong bond of friendship between them. They learn through play, sharing and caring for each other. Now my children are older, I see Helen's care and teaching through the gentle, caring and patient way they play with those younger than themselves.

Helen is utterly reliable and a great source of knowledge, advising and guiding us numerous times with our parenting. Not having family local to us, Helen has become a very welcome extension of our family. While both my sons are at school now, we still have regular contact with Helen. I'd consider any family very fortunate to have Helen as their care giver.

Helen Geoghegan

Helen has been the childminder for my daughter for over two years. She is one of the warmest people I know and it has been such as pleasure to watch my daughter flourish in the nurturing family environment Helen creates at her home. She cares for all of the children in her care enormously and understands their individual needs. She instills good behavior in them all and the children benefit from communally tidying up/making food together and so on. Children are stimulated through daily outings and activities and really benefit from being with children of different ages, they feel secure and have made great friends. They do lots of learning through creative play and crafting at home and in the garden as well as when they are out and about. My daughter eats well there and its one less worry to have to do breakfast every day before getting out the door in the morning! Also Helen has been fantastic at stepping in with last minute childcare demands/requests for flexibility.
