About Me
We are looking for an experienced special needs nanny for our 5 year old girl. She is in reception class at a special needs school until 3:15 x 5 days a week so this role is for school pick ups until 6:30 during term time, but also earlier on some days - 25 hours minimum per week. School holidays from 9:00-6:30 Mon-Fri.
This role would suit someone who understands special needs children and really wants to make a difference to a child's potential to do great! Are you someone who is playful and knows how to motivate through play? Our little girl needs a lot of support with her communication and designing routines and programs to support her working with her speech therapist and OT and implementing these therapies. Being organised and helping mum manage appointments and programs is helpful. Role includes child's laundry and meals etc. and working on toilet training and her overall independence in daily routines.
She is on anti-epileptic medicine and is prone to seizures when ill (on average 1 every 6 months) so the nanny would have to be comfortable looking after her and following her care plan.
