About Me
Hello, my name is Estelita (Lita) Sevastian. I am an Ofsted registered childminder with a qualified assistant, Vanessa. We offer childcare services for children between 0-13 years-old and we do daily pickups from Newport School.
I am a warm, friendly person dedicated to the wellbeing and development of children in my care. My setting includes a playroom, packed full of interesting educational toys and books. Outside is a spacious garden with vehicles, bikes and a summer house dedicated for the use of the children. Both spaces are used as free-flow by the children throughout the day all year round.
We follow the EYFS curriculum and each day organise a variety of activities for the children to engage in which are aimed at developing their fine motor, language and social skills. Originally from Brazil, I offer a multilingual setting where children are given the opportunity to learn new words and phrases. We have excellent skills in Portuguese, however we follow the curriculum in English.
As part of our curriculum we also offer weekly excursions to the nearby playground, local library sessions as well as lots of fun at home such as cooking and arts and craft. My garden area gives the children opportunities to observe wildlife as well as planting and tending to their own plants.
We provide healthy meals and snacks for all children as part of their daily routine. Children help prepare, serve and tidy their plates away to develop their independence. We make mealtimes a fun experience for the children where they can experiment with new foods and chat with their friends.
I have a lovely 14 year old daughter who enjoys helping out and sharing her skills in art and reading with the children. My husband and our friend also live at the address and are of course DBS checked on the update service.
I enjoy building a relationship with families to ensure an open and positive experience for you and your child. We provide a daily diary for children under 5 years old including photos. Verbal communication is given during pickups where you can catch up on what your child has been up to.

My Experience
I have been working with children for over 10 years. I have previously worked as a live-in nanny, looking after children between 0 - two years old, which included accompanying the family on vacations. Since becoming a childminder, I maintain a working awareness of the current EYFS curriculum and safeguarding requirements. I make use of the wonderful resources and facilities in Waltham Forest and meet with another childminder to share expertise and socialise with other children.

Lita has cared for my 2 year old son for just over 1 year now and i could not of chosen a better childminder. Her setting has a wonderful atmosphere and there are always activites set out on the table for the children. There is an amazing garden and playroom where my son has had many exciting memories there. I do not regret sending my son there and i would not hesitate to recommend her.

Lita has looked after our six-year-old son for two years now and we are delighted by the level of care that he has always received. Our son loves going to Lita's house which is a safe, stimulating environment . It has a lovely playroom and garden where he plays happily with several other children of different ages. Lita has done the drop-offs and pick-ups from school and we would really have struggled without her! Highly recommended.

Best childminder !
My daughter started when she was 1year and 3 months, and has been there for just over a year now. Lita and her friend Vannesa look after my daughter as if she were their own, I was abit sceptical at first as I hadn’t left my daughter with anyone else other than family, but they both put me at ease, definitely recommend for your children!

Lita has been looking after my eldest son ever since 2018, he is now at school full time and I didn’t hesitate to bring my youngest son to Lita’s care. Her setting has an enjoyable and inviting atmosphere and Lita always commits herself to delivering a high standard of childcare. Lita has provided both of my sons a loving and stimulating environment, she insured they have healthy diets and a variety of activities. My boys developed many new skills and abilities thanks to Lita and the opportunities available. She has been an excellent childminder. I love sending my boys to Lita’s setting and I strongly recommend her services.

Lita has cared for my son for over 2 years now and couldn't recommend her enough. Her home is so welcoming and such a lovely space for the kids to play and learn together. She cares for children of all different ages too so there's a real family atmosphere, and her and Vanessa are always arranging different activities for them all to do. They play outside in the garden everyday and go to the playground even if it's raining which is really important for me. She's been incredibly flexible with us too, always taking him for more hours when we've needed which has obviously been a great help. Will be sending my daughter here too when she's 1year old without a doubt.
