About Me
looking for a tutor for two bright boys in y1 and y3 both autistic with adhd and in mainstream primary. Would like a tutor to establish a connection and relationship and then look for opportunities to support them with maths and writing. Both read well but need support to develop confidence with learning, comprehension, etc. both enjoy gaming and would be nice if someone shared an interest in computers gaming etc but isn’t essential. Gender of tutor is not important but connection is so they feel safe and motivated to engage.
My Requirements
Both children need support to do homework and practice what they are learning in school. The youngest has PDA profile of autism and doesn’t attend school full time as he becomes overwhelmed by being in class despite being popular and bright. Could start off with an hour a week to spend half an hour with each and then see how it goes, and increase if feels right. I do not want to put pressure on the children or tutor so start and see how it goes and evolves as they get used to the tutor and vice versa.
