About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have been since January 2007, I have 3 children, a daughter age 17, a boy age 15 and a little girl age 7.
I returned back to the UK in January 2006 with my partner after living overseas for 6 years and working for Thomson holidays.
My aim is to offer a fun, home from home environment for children so they feel safe and secure.
I offer a wide range of resources, toys and activities in my home to stimulate, entertain and educate children whilst ensuring that they are having fun at all times. I work in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage criteria to ensure that children strive to meet their early learning goals by providing fun and exciting activities and experiences both indoors and outdoors.
I am approved to offer early education funded hours of 15/30 hours per week (term time) for 2,3 and 4 year old children. Please contact me to check if you are entitled to free childcare.
My Experience
I have the wonderful first hand experience of my own children!
I have been a childminder for 16 years now and in this time cared for children ranging in age from 6 months to 13 years.
During my career with Thomsons I worked closely with children's clubs and children of all ages.
My Qualifications
I have completed my initial childminder training course and relevant other courses including a Peadiatric First Aid Course, Basic Food Hygiene, Child Protection Procedures, Early Years Foundation Stage introduction and planning.
I have achieved my NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care Learning and Development.
I have a Foundation Degree in Early Years and have recently completed a BA Hons in Early Years at Sheffield Hallam University.
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder.
My Availability
I currently have a full time and part time positions available for all age groups.
I also have before and after school vacancies (including pick-up/drop-off) available for Laughton J & I School.
