About Me
Hi, my name is Cheryl, I have 2 children, a 13year old and a 6 year old. We spend our free time mostly at football, the coast or theme parks.
I have been a childminder for nearly 6 years and thoroughly enjoy the role. We love doing lots of different activities including day trips out to various parks, farms and zoos. I help run a childminder drop in group which the children thoroughly enjoy with outdoor space for us to use. I can be flexible in terms of times etc so please do drop me a message.
I previously worked in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant for 5 years.
I have paediatric first aid, early years level 3, safeguarding, Childminding Level 3, and lots of experience working with children. I have my own car and clean driving licence which I've held for over 20 years.
I believe that all children are different and will thrive and learn best when they are happy and cared for.
I cook lots of fresh food with lots of variety and nutrition.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 6 years and love every minute. We enjoy lots of different activities including day trips to farms, parks, garden centres and soft plays. We visit toddler groups weekly. I have lots of experience working with children and at all different age ranges. I am experienced within phonics. I have experience with speech and language. I will follow the early years development within the national guidelines.
My Qualifications
I have been a childminder for 6 years and love every minute of it. I have 5 years experience working as a teaching assistant. I have numerous cpd training, including never mind the weather, let's play, Paediatric first aid, early years and teaching level 3, childminding level 3, safeguarding. I have worked within the SEN department at my previous primary school.

8am-5:30 Monday-Thursday
8am-4pm Friday

My 2 year old daughter has been going to Cheryl's for over a year now and she absolutely loves Cheryl.
We originally had another childminder, but suddenly had to find another one when ours had to unexpectedly stop childminding. Despite not having all the days available that we needed at the time, we decided to go with Cheryl for the days she did have and she assisted us with finding a temporary alternative for the one day she was full until a space became available. This was so lovely of Cheryl to help accommodate us.
From the start I could tell it was the right setting for my daughter. She seemed happy from our first meeting and settled in quickly playing with the other children.
Cheryl does so much with the children, doing something with them pretty much every day going to soft plays, garden centres, nature trails and so much more. They also visit a toddler group twice a week with other childminders, so they do lots of messy play and other activities in a wider setting. This gives a lovely mix of a personal homely setting and more of a playgroup setting, interacting with other kids. As a mum that did lots of activities and classes with my daughter on maternity leave, I knew I wanted someone that would do similar activities with her and Cheryl does this perfectly.
The childmindees also really do become part of the family. Her two boys are so good with all the kids too, which is so lovely to see. My daughter loves them both so much.
We've been so happy we found Cheryl. She's so easy to talk to and she works with us as parents through any challenges. I highly recommend Cheryl.

I happen to contact Cheryl when I needed a nanny for one week for my 2 year old daughter, as her regular childminder was on holiday.
This was a last minute request and Cheryl was quite accommodative and agreed to come to my place with her 1 year old son to take care of my daughter. I was a little nervous initially as I was not sure how my daughter would adjust with her. Cheryl was amazing at keeping her engaged, singing, reading and playing together.
My daughter adjusted well with her and she also loved playing with her son who is just adorable.
We also happen to meet Cheryl's older son one of the days and he is amazing with kids in general. My daughter loved playing with him and he was constantly trying to keep her engaged.
They are such an amazing warm natured family and I highly recommend Cheryl.

I am a mum to a 3 year old son and I was really nervous about leaving my son with a childminder but during the holidays I desperately needed childcare.
I found Cheryl on childcare.co.uk and arranged a meeting with her, along with my son.
I immediately felt very comfortable with her.
She is so easy to talk to and my son absolutely loves being with her, rather than going to nursery.
Her home is very homely and child safe.A home away from home experience indeed.
She has two lovely kids that get along beautifully with my son.
She even offers a pick up service which I find very useful.
My son already looks forward to the holidays to spend more time with her.
She is also really flexible which is quite helpful.
I will definitely recommend Cheryl and she will be my childminder for the foreseeable future.
