Hi! My name is Shannon and I am 24 years old and live in Cornwall. I have a very caring nature, am very friendly, creative and enthusiastic! I’m a very happy, hard-working person and I tend to put a lot of effort into whatever I do. I have years of childcare experience, professionally and personally. I also have extensive experience with children with special needs, and children from ages 10 months to 17years. I have cleaning and cooking skills so am happy to help out with any extra tasks. My Experience
I have always had an interest in childcare, a dream job of mine is to be a primary school teacher. I have grown up with a younger sister. I have had work experience in a Nursery, and worked abroad in Greece, France and Croatia as a full-time nanny for Neilson Active Holidays. I absolutely loved my experience there, it was the best thing I have ever done, and adored looking after the children and striving to give them the best care. Part of the role was also to organise healthy, enjoyable lunches, teas' and snacks, and to run sleep clubs a few nights a week. I also had to make sure I was communicating happily and efficiently with parents, to ensure they were happy with care and activities I was providing their child/ren with, to get to know their child/s better and also to make sure they were enjoying their holiday and help with any queries/problems they may have had.
My Qualifications
I am First Aid Trained, and have Special Needs Manual Handling and Manual Handling qualifications. I have lots of practical childcare experience.
