About Me
My name is Dee and I am based in North Grays. I'm 41 years old and mum to Braeden 13 and Milo 9.
I aim to provide a wide range of opportunities in the form of interactive, fun and challenging activities and outings to enable children of all backgrounds and abilities to develop and learn through play in a caring, supportive and happy environment. I am guided in my routines and policies by the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
I recognise the importance of parental involvement in a child's early years and look forward to working together as a team to meet a child's full potential.
My Experience
I looked after my niece full time from December 2017 until August 2021 and now I have her in the school holidays.
In doing that I decided that a childminder would be the best option for me as I wanted a home-from-home environment, and for it be as similar a routine to what she had at home as possible. Seeing how much fun she had and how she has developed has given me the inspiration to start my training and set up my own childminding business.
I also did voluntary work for 1 year in an Early Years Setting -Treasure Children Forever Pre School this has given me experience and training within the EYFS guidelines, as well as completing my Childminding Induction Training Course.
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since May 2019. My boyfriend Chris is registered as my childminding assistant who I will only use if I need to if there was ever an emergency. He has his own full time job and works out on site and from home at times.
Chris has also attended training sessions he is DBS checked, paediatric first aid trained and has completed courses on safeguarding.

Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 17.00pm
I work all year round except when I take my own holidays.
I offer a minimum of 2 days a week and a minimum of 6 hours a day.
I also do school drop off and pick up from Deneholm Primary School.

I have a three year old little boy who absolutely loves going to Dee’s setting. Dee covers different days for me. She is flexible, accommodating and so welcoming. Even though my son doesn’t attend regularly, the second we pull up outside of the setting he squeals in delight and can’t wait to say goodbye to me!! We haven’t even got out of the car at that point!!! You can always gauge how brilliant a childminder is by your child’s reaction and it’s very clear that this is a setting my child enjoys attending. From a parents point of view, Dee is experienced and understands children and their needs very well. She is a great communicator and has a positive impact on my child. She takes the children on outings and encourages them to participate in different activities and experiences. My child makes progress when he attends Dee’s and always brings something home with him. It’s great to have the feedback of what your little one has done in your absence and my child has always got something to show me and tell me about.

Would highly recommend ABC Dees Childcare, Dee is an amazing childminder. My little girl started attending in September 2020 after a childcare change & it was best move for us in the long term.
Like any parent would know leaving your child within childcare can be such a worry & it’s big step but I can honestly say I trusted Dee a lot with my daughter. Especially that my little girl has medical know Dee takes this on board. Dees overall professional, dedication and support she provides for both the children plus the parents is outstanding. The first thing that make me want to look at Dees setting was the amazing educational set up for the children. It’s certainly a home from home experience for the children.
My little girl settled in really well & made lots of friends. She happily goes in every morning & always very happy when I pick her up. I could always see the progress she is making & what she is learning within the setting. Which for me is very important. I can tell my daughter had such a lovely bond with Dee and others within the setting. Which for me as her mother is such a good feeling.
Always recommend too anyone that is looking for a childminder ❤️

My Daughter started with Dee in October 2021- june 2023, from the start it has just been a lovely experience for my daughter & myself, just peace of mind knowing your child is being looked after safely, Dees setting at home is absolutely lovely she has everything they need to help learn and develop, also they would go out on little trips to the park or bug hunting etc.. My daughter really just loved it with Dee she would always be so excited to go and spend the day. I love how Dee also has different days where they are learning and focusing about certain things like, brushing teeth, road safety, feelings and the activities she sets up for them look amazing she really does make a difference. I would recommend Dee all day everyday she is just great especially for the childrens development and learning she does a great job teaching. And my daughter is missing her already

My 4 year old has been going to Dee for school/nursery holiday care for about year now, she is very accommodating for our working hours, and he absolutely loves it!
He often asks when he can next go to Dee's. He doesn't see her as a childcare provider more like an aunt he can go to visit 😁
He loves her setting, so much variety for the different ages, and the dedicated play space is great peace of mind for me, to know that he is in an environment dedicated to his learning through play, and is completely safe too!
He enjoys going out on the days out, and comes home telling all about his day with excitement.
Dee is also great at keeping me updated on his progress through the day, I was a bit nervous leaving him with a stranger to start with as he's my first, but I've absolutely no worries at all anymore!

My son started going to Dee’s in September 2022. He was 2 years old. Since going to Dee’s I have seen the positive growth in all aspects of my son. When he first started he did not speak many words, fast forward now and he does not stop talking :) She is very caring, ensures they are always learning and is constantly doing a wide range of activities! Her setting is absolutely amazing, so much to play with and is very clean. I could not recommend Dee highly enough!
