About Me

Family of five with 3 young boys (aged 6 and 2 year old twins)

My Requirements

After School Nanny

Nanny three children in Kennington starting c. September 2024 (with paid handover hours during August)

My husband and I are looking for an experienced wraparound care nanny for 35 hours per week on average throughout the year (c.28 hours per week during term time and c. 50+ hours per week during 12 weeks of holidays/inset days etc) for our three boys commencing September 2024 when our current nanny will be returning to a full-time teaching job. We have a 6 year old boy who will start year 2 in September at a nearby local school, as well as twin 2 year old toddlers who attend a nearby local nursery.

Our 6 year old is an energetic and sweet-natured little boy who enjoys sport (football, tennis and cricket), reading, playing games/puzzles and being outdoors with his friends. He has also recently joined the local Beavors association. He loves being a big brother to the twins.

Our twin 2 year olds turned 2 in May. They are fun loving little boys who enjoy being outside and running around. They anlso enjoy reading books, singing, doing puzzles and playing with their toy cars.

Some further details about our requirements:
The twin’s attend nursery full-time (5 days a week, open 7:30am-6pm), although we are looking for a nanny to pick them up around the same time as our 6 year old’s pick up from school (c. 3:30 to 4:30) depending on whether he has after school clubs).
The twins’ nursery is right next to our 6 year old’s school, which is a c.10 minute walk from our house.
Broadly duties will involve picking up our 6 year old from school or after school club, then picking up the twins from nursery, taking the children to the park or play dates / sports lessons in the local area etc., then finally dinner, bath and bed at home. Duties will also include preparing meals for the children (e.g. batch cooking/freezing meals) and attending to laundry for the children.
Our ideal regular hours to be as follows, but this isn’t fixed and we are happy to discuss modifications to this to suit your schedule:
- Monday: 3:30-8pm.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 2-8:30pm (with time at home prior to picking the boys up from school/nursery in order to e.g. do batch cooking)
- Wednesday: 3:30-8pm+ 4 hours babysitting to 11:30pm/12:00am (‘date night’).
- Friday: 3:30-6:30pm.

Our 6 year old usually does clubs during the holidays, but flexibility to do extra paid hours to cover inset days/holidays/sickness would be highly desirable as both parents have full time jobs.

Essential requirements:
- Multiple charge experience; i.e. looking after more than one child at a time.
- First aid qualifications.
- Clean DBS checks.
- Excellent references.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.

Desirable requirements
- Experience with twins/multiples.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. in a nursery or childcare setting).

Pay is competitive and reflects a premium recognising this is multiple charge, wraparound care role requiring flexibility around term/holiday hours.

We are a friendly and easygoing household and would love to find a nanny looking for a long term post. Our current nanny would be very happy to share details of her experience working with us.

We look forward to hearing from you!
