I am an OFSTED registered childminding setting, graded GOOD.
I run my setting similar to a nursery, but still have the home from home feel.
We are a family setting, I feel we offer a bubbly, happy, caring and friendly setting. I enjoy messy arts and crafts, long nature walks & exploring the out doors. We hold different topics and activities for the children to learn each week.
I have 12years+ experience working with children, I am confident that my experiences and skills will be an asset to your child's learning and development and would love the opportunity to meet you and your children.

We have used Penelope and her Team (Partner and Sister in Law) for the past few months whilst moving house. We can not recommend the setting enough. Our daughter (21 months) settled so quickly and was made to feel so welcome and secure espcially at a time of lots of distruption at home. Our daughter had previously attended nursery however since attending a childminder and having more direct care has progressed both socially and verbally enormously.
We love how we get daily updates online and get to see photos of all daily activities including the walks outside in the surrounding area.
The only reason we are having to leave is due to moving further away, if we lived closer we would stay until our daughter went to pre-school.
Overall
OK, so the first childminder I ever had I thought was great then…I met Penelope. You seriously couldn’t want for more for your child that’s in her care. She takes her job so seriously, is hugely passionate about what she does. She is so professional and down to earth all in one. She has a fantastic set up at her home, it’s like it’s a little nursery. My little boy is 19 months and has come on leaps and bounds in her care, he is learning so much it’s like a mini school but also a great fun place to be. She has themes each week where she focuses on different parts of their learning, each Friday she gives a folder with all the works he’s done that week. She always has time to have a good catch up on the day’s events, nothing is too much trouble. All the children’s activity is logged on line which is automatically emailed at the end of each day, you get to know all what they have been doing that combined with lots of photos so you never feel like you are missing out on the time they are away from you. To leave your child in someone’s care is a massive thing but I can honestly say I couldn’t wish to leave mine at a better place. I honestly could not recommend Penelope enough.

Penelope looked after our three primary school children - we were extremely grateful and satisfied with how she cared for our kids, so much so that we used her for additional baby sitting on evenings and weekends. We would be happy to recommend her to others.

Penelope looked after my little girl, firstly as a nanny for a year and then when she opened her childminding business for another year. My daughter is at school now though developed a really special bond with Penelope very quickly, and still talks about her regularly. She really misses her and loved the time they spent together. Penelope has a natural way with children yet is very responsible and trustworthy.

Pen is fantastic with children and quickly developed a very happy and close relationship with my daughter. Reliable and mature, I felt very happy leaving my daughter with her. I have known Pen both as a nanny and childminder and couldn't recommend her more highly.
