Ofsted registered childminder. I live in the Newtown/ Northgate village area of Chester. I am passionate about care and education of young children. I encourage learning through new experiences and children's interests.

My Qualifications
B Ed Early years. I have worked with children since leaving university both in schools and day nurseries. I qualified as a Teacher and loved the Early Years. I then worked with foundation 1 and fell in love with caring for younger children. I have experience of all age groups from newborn to 8 yr old. I have worked with children with a range of additional needs...peg feeding, global delay, autism, speech and language, hearing impairment, down syndrome and behavioral needs. I believe in providing a safe and stimulating environment for children to thrive and become independent learners.
My setting is a home from home environment with nursery features. I teach the children 'letters and sounds' and numeracy through fun activities and games. I incorporate sign language through singing and play and have an active session of dance, circle games or yoga each day. The bottom floor is specifically catered to the children's needs with 2 rooms for different learning experiences and a shared kitchen. This allows more resources and equipment to be accessible at all times. The children have their own bathroom (baby change) and a large outside space to explore. Insta- littlerayschester

We are quite lucky to have our daughter at Rachel for the last 2 years. Excellent care and development in a very safe clean environment. Also, well balanced diet and diverse activities.
We had peace of mind for the last 2 years as we knew Lily has been in good hands!! Thank you for much Rachel.

Where do I start!? Rachel is the most loveliest, caring and genuine childminders out there. And I don’t say that lightly! Previous to finding Rachel, my little girl really struggled at nurseries as she found them too overwhelming and found it really difficult to bond with carers. She has Global Development delay and really struggles with communication. But since being with Rachel, the difference in her is amazing. Millie is now saying little words, starting to interact with other children, and is really coming out of herself. And that’s because she’s in an environment with a carer who genuinely wants the best for your child. There is nobody else I could trust with Millie because Rachel has exceeded my expectations and is giving her the best love, care and support I could ever wish for. And that’s all I ever want. Millie literally runs into the house so happy and doesn’t want to leave so that says something!! Thank you Rach, we’re so lucky to have you xx

My little one has been with Rachel since October 2021 just before her first birth. I was anxious about leaving her, however, my little one gets so excited to see Rachel in the morning (along with her friends too). The setting is big the children have plenty of space, Rachel teaches the children sign language and provides learning through play; i cant fault her! Rachel sends pictures throughout the day and provides a diary with their activities and food. I would highly recommend her services. X

Rachel is beyond wonderful with my little boy. I was so worried about leaving him whilst I had to work but she made me feel at ease. He comes home happy and content, I get pictures of Arthur during the day and I get to read his daily journal that she fills in so I can see what hes been up to. I cant praise this lady enough.. when it comes to childminders she really is top class. I feel VERY lucky that I have her to care for my son, She has gone above any expectations I had and I know that there is no other person I would rather have looking after Arthur. I cant thank you enough Rachel, you are amazing at what you do and if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Rachel is great with my little one and caters to all her dietary needs. She always comes home happy & spotless and I’m able to go about my day stress free knowing that she is well cared for. Definitely recommend to anyone!

Used to work with Rachel in a nursery and wouldn’t trust anyone else as much as her with my child! She’s amazing would recommend to anyone including disabled children as she has experience with this too, the setting is lovely done up to high standards and any child would love to go here
