My Experience

Briefly Jenny was privately educated all her life and attended The Royal Ballet School and The Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts in London. Jenny has lived in California for 13 years and Louisiana for 2.5 years during her life working in administration and marketing roles and then returned to open her own dance school for children in the UK.

She has also been a Housekeeper for a holiday let in Monmouthshire called the Chickenshed. The Chickenshed is in Trellech and provides luxury accommodation every week which Jenny had to clean to a very high standard and have complete responsibility of the Chickenshed when the owners were out of the country. This included providing a welcome pack and greeting the guests upon arrival and making sure all of their needs were met. Jenny has an infectious personality and is very creative and is fun to be around.

Jenny then worked for the Mason family in their home at The Parks, Newent. Her Nanny/Housekeeper role at The Parks kept her busy looking after Evelyn (age 4) and Lara (age 2). Her duties include sole carer for children when parents working, including providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, also sometimes for parents. Jenny also walked their Japanese Akita called Barney. Jenny collected Evelyn from pre-school and provided days out with the children on a regular basis. Jenny kept the house clean to a very high standard and also took care of the laundry including ironing. The girls are very active and enjoyed learning French with Jenny and gardening their own veggie patch. Jenny also provided an overnight service when the parents spent time away and was available to them if they needed her on their vacations. A reference can be provided.

Jenny also qualified as a Foster Carer some years ago. This took one year of training (a folder can be provided to browse at), many social worker visits and becoming CRB checked and first aid trained. Jenny and her partner at the time fostered two girls for a year, ages 11 and 16.

Whilst Jenny's son Ryan attended The Boys School in Monmouth, Jenny worked as a Guardian for the boarding boys who were unable to go home during holidays under the Cultural & Study Tours Partnership. Jenny had 10 boys (from Spain, France and Japan) who stayed in her home regularly during half term.

Jenny moved to South West France taking a temporary Nanny/Housekeeper job for Florence and Vincent with their two children Candice, 12 years and Arsen, 7 years. A delightful family and experience. A reference can be provided.

Currently we work for a few clients in Normandy gardening and housekeeping a 9 bedroom gite and handling all changeovers on a weekly basis. Although enjoying the french experience for the past two years, due to covid and not being able to see our grown up children it has made us realise we need to be back in the UK. Therefore I am looking for a long term family I can care for again in the UK. Initially I will need to live in but once my partner moves back I will live out nearby my place of employment.
