About Me
Hi I'm Emma and live at home with my husband Lewis and two children Tyler who is 13 and Brooke who is 10 in the Rainworth area. I am friendly, trustworthy and approachable and hope you feel at ease within my home. I encourage children to explore and discover learning through whatever grabs their interest. I always ensure that parents will get good information of their children's day with me from the activities they have been doing and what area of EYFS we have been working with. My Experience
I have worked with children and families for over nineteen years in a variety of settings such as nurseries, schools and children's centres. I am able to provide safe learning experiences for children. I am able to meet children's individual needs by building strong relationships whilst in my care. This can sometimes take time with shyer children and not long with louder children but this is the great challenge of being a childminder and one I thoroughly enjoy. In my time we have lots of fun creating, exploring and getting messy. We enjoy picnics at new places and messy play in my mud garden at home. What ever it is your child enjoys doing they will have lots of fun with me.

Emma has cared for my daughter for over 2 years now and we couldn't be happier with the level of care received. Emma communicates everything with us throughout the day by sending pictures and a note with a snippet of the day. The days are full of lots of activities & local trips outside which is fantastic. Emma's house has truly become a home away from home for our daughter, which has been a blessing with our busy working schedules. I really can not recommend EmsGems enough, best decision we've made.

My daughter enjoys being picked up from school by Emma and I never worry as I know when she is with Emma and her lovely family she is safe and happy and well cared for. She gets a lovely hot tea which is very helpful for full time working parents and does lots of fun and educational activities before she is picked up. Emma is also very communicative which I think should be one of the key principals when caring for children. I recommend Emma to any of my friends/colleagues that are in need of childcare

Emma cares for my 13 month old son 3 full days a week. She provides a superb home from home environment that is very clean and has a large variety of activities that support his learning. Emma has been very supportive, especially as I am a first time mum and was worried about leaving him. She always sends pictures and messages letting me know how he is doing throughout the day and communicates daily in his book, providing details of how his day has been, what he had eaten and any naps he has had. Emma completely understands a mother’s worries when leaving their child and does everything she can to offer reassurance. He hasn’t taken long for my little boy to settle and feel completely happy in the beautiful environment she provides! I could not ask for a better service! I would highly recommend her and will continue to use her until my boy is ready for school.
