About Me
I am a Ofsted Registered Childminder. living in Central Watford with my Husband and 3 lovely and very well mannered kids.
I am happy and outgoing personality and provide a nurturing, happy and safe environment for all children under my care.
An environment geared to learning through
fun and giving children the ability to express themselves freely. I provide care from Home that is welcoming and safe. A place that children feel happy coming to and where Parents/Carers are happy and confident in the knowledge that their childs welfare and happiness is paramount to me.
I provide daily diaries, with pictures giving details of what the children have done during the day. Pictures with paint, lentils, pasta shapes, salt dough decorations, seasonal pictures and home baking are often taken by the children in my care.
My Husband is also a Ofsted registered Childminder and he is also helping me, he has brought his positive, happy, outgoing nature to the care setting and he is a welcome asset to my care service, and help me to give pickup and drop off if needed by parents and kids he is licensed Hackney Carriage Taxi Driver by Watford Council and First aid Trained.
We both have updated DBS.
My Experience
I am working as a child career since 2008 I was working with the special need kids as well under Watford County Council, and have three kids two boys and a girl. I truly believe that there is no better experience than bringing up your own children to be happy and confident individuals.
Parenting is a daily learning experience and we bring all we have learnt and what we are constantly learning to the children our my care. However it is also important to be continually looking at improving your service and keeping up to date with current practices and legislation. Please see my qualifications below.
I love arts and crafts and encouraging creativity in all forms is an important part of the day as is exercise, be it in the park or dance time in the house. Baking, reading and learning through fun also features in our day. I believe that interaction with other children is important as it helps to form valuable social skills and provides lots of fun. We also visit local parks regular basis when possible.

My girl went to Sumera for 2 weeks, total of 4 days.
Sumera was great at staying in touch with me, updating me on my girl and constantly reassuring me. She would pick her up morning and drop her off afternoon which was a very helpful service.
During those 4 days however I felt that the cleanliness have space for much more improvement. The condition of the toys were very poor and the walls/skirting/floor/carpet were very dirty and stained.
Walls had many drawings, which is understandable because she has kids there.
When I pointed out that the wall socket was exposed, she reassured me that its not Ofsted mandatory however for my girls sake she did make it safer by covering the socket, which we appreciated very much.
From that point, it was Sumera's care of Luna that kept us there for more days - she fed her the food I packed and she could very easily put her down for a nap.
Another thing that surprised me was that we didn't fill in any paperwork with our details, emergency contacts, allergies, routines or anything like that - there was no contract or any kind of agreement so was not sure what the obligations are and what we were really heading in to. As a new parent who never dealt with Childminders before, I would have expected the Childminder to manage this piece ( which our new childminder did) as we are new to this world.
Overall Sumera is the sweetest person, my girl by day 3 started to cry for her when she drops her off, however the place needs some attention in making cleaner and update the toys.

Sumera is one of the most reliable, professional and trustworthy childminders available in this area. She and her husband were really helpful when I was in need of a childminder to pick up my daughter from school and looking after her. My daughter was really happy and comfortable with Sumera. They made me go for my work peacefully as I was confident that they were looking after my daughter very well. I rate her service very high and recommend her for anyone looking for a childminder. What makes them different from other childminders is the fact that they do the pick-up service from school which will be of great help for parents who are working in the NHS and similar organizations.

Sumera is the best childminder you can find! She is caring, warm, friendly and very reliable. Our twin girls started with Sumera when they were 4 years old and joined reception class at Watford field infant School. Sumera took care of their after school activities and cared of them full time during school holidays. Sumera was essential help for us during challenging year with lockdowns and we will always be grateful for it. Girls adore Sumera and her amazing family. We feel blessed to have met them. I would definitely recommend Sumera for someone who is looking for best care for their children!

My son is 5 years old and Diagnosed with Autism. He usually does not do well with other children but, with Sumera, he felt at home right away, even on the first visit. He was always looking forward to go there and would even cry if the door is not opened right away for him to go inside. Sumera's family is very warm and let's my son do his own play. Sumera is quite flexible.
My son always like going to her and she is like a second mum to him because he is such a sweet boy and only has a select few people that he is quite comfy and at ease with.
Definitely highly recommended.

I can’t thank Sumera enough for rescuing me when I required very early morning childcare at short notice. She accommodated all my needs and my son loved being in her care ( must have been the cheesy pasta :-) He wanted to stay longer to play.
I greatly appreciate the fact she provides childcare 7 days a week and very flexible. I definitely recommend her services.

Sumera and Yasir have been an absolute delight. I started back at full time work and needed to find a childminder within two weeks. Just as I was beginning to give up hope sumera reached out to me and offered her services. They are friendly and kind, and make my son feel so comfortable in their home he never wants to leave. They go the extra mile, adhering to your change of schedule and never once make you or your child feel like an imposition. Highly recommended!

Sumera looks after my child once a week and I coulsnt be happier. My child is treated like part of the family and she absoloutly loves spending her time there, most of the time it's hard to get her to leave with me. My child is well looked after and settled straight away. It's so comforting knowing whilst I'm at work my child is safe and having lots of fun doing lots of exciting things.

On a short notice, I was able to get assistance from Sumera to look after my boy on Saturday morning at my own place. My son was very happy with her and she took him for his music lesson and completed all tasks I had asked her to go through with my son during the day. I am happy to recommend her to parents if any need for childcare is required.
