A professional, experienced childcare practitioner with over 5 years experience and impeccable references. I am a warm and nurturing individual , with experience caring for children aged 1 year - 9 years. I am highly organised and efficient in my duties and understand the importance of reliability. I love the freedom of working as a nanny, as everyday is a new adventure that we can embrace. I believe that children thrive when they feel loved, happy and secure and this is my core focus, as well as lots of fun and laughter too. I am able to build strong, loving relationships with children of all ages easily, and adapt well in to a new environment. I am also happy to look after pets, walking and feeding.
My Experience
I have currently been nannying full time for the last year, and previous to this, have experience within a private nursery (7 months) and a childminding setting (1 year) . I have also carried out consistent baby sitting for a family for 6 years ( part time as when needed )
Some of daily duties consist of :
- Planning and supervising play based activities/experiences that stimulate and support children’s learning and development at an appropriate level to meet there individual needs
- Daily walks/ exercise to promote a healthy lifestyle
- Organising days out to suit the child’s age and needs, e.g parks, farms, swimming and museum’s.
- Maintaining routine with nap times and bedtime
- Encouraging healthy and nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day. Making bottles and assisting with feeding with babies.
- Providing personal care for all toddlers/babies and children in my care at all times.
- Building strong and trustworthy relationships with parents of the children I care for
- Light house work daily - e.g empty dishwasher and loading, keeping all areas I work in tidy and clean, children’s laundry if needed
- Leading physical activities such as yoga and ‘woodland school’ gardening and embracing nature.
-Building strong and trustworthy relationships with parents, teachers and children in the school.
Observing my key children and updating online systems with there progress
- Implementing policies and procedures in line with Ofsted and good practice guidance.
My Qualifications
First Aid & DBS certificates - experience in childminding, nannying and nursery environment
My Availability
I am currently available for a full time role Monday - Friday, however I would consider 4 days a well 8-6 . Minimum of 35-40 hours per week ideally.
