My Requirements

We’re looking for a part-time nanny-housekeeper to join our gang, working 21 hours a week (Mon-Thurs), with a salary of £1,400 per month (gross).

There is an also an option to work an average of 24 hours a week with longer hours in the school holidays and a babysitting session one evening, every other week. We're also open to a contract with further additional hours for the right person.

The core hours will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:30pm to 6:30pm and Tuesday from 1:30pm to 7:30pm. There's an option to work Tuesday mornings from 7:15 to 9 (preferable) and later in the evenings (until 7:00 or 7:30pm) at an increased hourly rate of £18 gross per hour. The role requires a driving licence.

About us
We’re a loving family with two girls (aged nearly 5 and 22 months). We both have pretty busy jobs. I’m a hospital doctor and work a condensed three-day week (Mon-Wed) with on-call shifts some nights and weekends. My husband works in London Tuesday and Thursday and from home the rest of the week.

We’re very present emotionally for our kids and spend as much time with them as possible. Our approach applies the principles of gentle parenting and we’re looking for someone who naturally follows these principles. We’re quite an international family - I’m British Sri Lankan and my husband is British and French.

About the role
We’re looking for a nanny-house keeper to help us spend as much time as possible with the children.
You’ll be an experienced nanny (at least 2 years nannying), comfortable looking after two children of different ages at the same time and proactive in organising the children’s.

The role will be split across childcare and housekeeping (not cleaning - we have a weekly cleaner) and includes:
- Picking up our eldest from school
- Picking up our youngest from nursery
- Creating a well balanced environment with fun and intellectually stimulating after-school and after-nursery activities
- Cooking nice and healthy food for the family. This will include a mix of chopping and preparing ingredients in some instances as well as cooking some of the meals
- Doing the household laundry and making beds.
- Keeping the house tidy after the kids
