About Me

Hi,
My name is Veronica and I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Norbury. My passion for caring for children stems from my very own experience as a mother, foster carer and professional in the care sector. I am a mum to two grown up children and have been fostering children for over 25 years. I have been working in the care sector for over 25 years too and I absolutely love my job and wouldn’t change it for the world.

I decided to start Advance With Us Childminders, my very own business, during the lockdown as I could see that many families, including those of key workers, were struggling with their childcare needs and I wanted to help. My home had always been a hub for family and friends' children needing impromptu babysitting over the years anyway.

My childminding facilities consist of a brand-new, purpose- built called the ‘Playhouse’ located at the back of my family home which also includes an outdoor turfed play area with a range of apparatus. The Playhouse accommodates up to 7 children 6 month- 5 year olds. The children learn through play in line with the National Curriculum’s EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to support children in achieving their early years millstones using the wide range of resources made available to them. Thoroughly planned educational visits to museums, farms, parks and allotments will also be on the agenda throughout the year to enhance children's learning experience.

Within my family home itself, two rooms will accommodate up to 7 children, 6-11 years olds, with a comfortable and relatable set-up, ensuring they feel at ease and as if they are at a home away from home. They will have access to computers, adult’ support for their homework, a book corner, a variety of games, arts and craft activities, will be involved in making their own snacks and even baking!

I can also do school runs to the following schools (pick ups only): Granton Primary (Granton Rd, Streatham, London SW16 5AN) and Kensington Avenue Primary (Kensington Ave, Thornton Heath CR7 8BT) only.

Advance With Us Childminding's facilities are located in Norbury, but they are also in easy reach of Mitcham, Croydon, Crown Point, Streatham, and Thornton Heath – Please reach out if you are unsure if I service your area, and I’ll be happy to assist.

Spanish and French speaker is on site.

Group and private tuition are available on Sunday (10 am- 6pm)
From Reception - Year 6: help with homework, school projects, SATs preparation, the whole primary curriculum, support for SEN children, French and Spanish.
