Hi, my name Sarah ,I live in Patchway with my husband and two teenagers. During the day I work in a primary school as a sen TA. If you are looking for someone who is understanding, reliable, patient, trustworthy, kind and caring , I could be the right "EVENING" babysitter to care for your children. With over 25 years experience working in the childcare sector including special educational need . I am dbs checked, first aid, upto date with safeguarding.
EXPERIENCE
I starting doing baby sitting at the age of 14 (now in my 40s), At 18 I passed my leve 2 in childcare and worked as a nanny 11YRS.
I was an ofsted registered childminder for 8 and passed my level 3 in childcare and level 2 in understanding Autism .
I worked as a sen 1:1 in a pre school.
Now I am working in a primary school as a sen Ta. I have also passed my level 2/3 in understanding Autism
My Experience
Being a parent of two, my oldest was a prem baby so have exprience with small babies.
My youngest is Autistic

As first time parents who had never had a babysitter before, we were nervous about finding a babysitter online, so we came to childcare.co.uk for a bit more confidence. Sarah answered our ad and we decided that she seemed like a lovely person.
Unfortunately our original plans which we had discussed with Sarah fell through, however she was really understanding to our change in time and date and was able to do the new times which was fantastic!
As it was our first Babysitting with Sarah, she came half an hour early so we could run through everything and we left our 9mo and Sarah playing, with the baby very happy about having a new playmate.
Sarah let us know once the baby had gone to bed and we came back to a sleeping baby and (to my absolute delight) the washing up done! (Although I would never expect a babysitter to do that, nor would expect it again - I just was so happy to have had some surprise help!)
All in all I could not have asked for a better babysitter and we look forward to having Sarah look after him again!

Sarah looked after my son R (17 months) from August 2014- December 2014, 4 days per week.
I have been extremely happy with the care R has received. Sarah very welcoming and my child settled in very quickly. Sarah has a wide range of toys and equipment in her house for a wide range of ages to keep children entertained. Sarah also has engaged R in lots of different activities in order to keep him well stimulated. For example R was engaged in many Christmas crafts, has been taken to different toddler groups, been engaged in water play and has been taken to soft play areas.
Sarah has demonstrated a good understanding of child development and has encouraged R to gain age appropriate skills, such as encouraging him in his walking and helping him learn to put on his shoes. Sarah is very warm in her interactions with R and got to know his emotional needs well, for example giving him long hugs after his afternoon naps. I have found Sarah to be positive in her approach to managing children's behaviour however has also been appropriately firm with R so he has a clear understanding of appropriate behaviour.
R has loved being in Sarah's care and has also benefited from the interaction with Sarah's lovely children when they aren't in school. Sarah has been flexible and understanding as a child minder and has been very reliable, for example has not had a day off sick the entire time I have had R in her care. Sarah has kept up good communication with me through a diary and has also been good at responding to text messages and phone calls during the day when I have needed reassurance.
Having withdrawn R due to having another baby I would have no hesitation in recommending Sarah as a childminder and would definitely use her again for my children's care.
