A little about myself and what I offer you and your child here at Baby Steps Childminding Service.
My name is Michelle and I am a fully registered and insured childminder within the Derry City area.
I have over 23 years experience in various Early Years Childcare Practitioner roles and have been working as a childminder for over 11yrs.
Here at Baby Steps Childminding Service I offer a professional childcare setting that provides for all your child’s needs, helping to further enhance their social, emotional and physical development with the excellent range of activities, equipment and opportunities available to them here.
School pick ups are available from local playgroups, nurseries and primary schools at no extra cost.
Hot meals and snacks are also free of charge.
Fresh fruit, sugar free juice, water and milk are available freely during the day.
Each child is provided with a free personalised water bottle, personalised natural bamboo toothbrush and personalised hand towel to use while attending.

My Qualifications
I hold a NVQ in Child Care & Education and a GNVQ in Health & Social Care.
I have a SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) Diploma.
A Diploma in Child Psychology.
An EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Teaching Diploma.
A Mindfulness for Children Diploma.
I have CPD Certificates in various childcare related training such as;
EQUIP Speech and Language,
Autism Awareness,
Teaching Phonics,
Play Therapy,
Health and Safety,
Paediatric First Aid,
Safeguarding Children,
Workplace First Aid,
Childhood Weight Management,
Child Protection,
Health and Safety in the Childminding Setting,
Safe Food Handling,
Play Therapy Certificate.

Half and full day rates available on request.
