About Me
OFSTED and NCMA registered fully qualified Childminder, 18 years experience Newborn and up. CRB checked, Insured and qualified in First Aid and Health and Safety. I am also member of Sandwell Childminding Network.
I provide childminding at my home and do not provide au pair, baby sitting etc.
I cover Smethwick, Bearwood and occasionally Harbourne and Selly Oak. I do take children from outside these areas but can't do pick up/drop off or school pick up/drop due to timetabling so parents are wholly responsible for dropping children at my house and picking them up if living/attending school outside these areas.
I am a 60 years old living with my husband on the border of Smethwick, Bearwood and Cape Hill in a 3 bed terraced property. We are all CRB checked
Both of my children are now grown up, my daughter, the eldest, graduated university in 2008. My youngest recently completed his Masters and PHD. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and my hobby is flower arranging. We have no pets and we are a non-smoking household.
Children have access to a playroom with a wide range of play and early learning toys, and full access of the garden when weather permits. I provide food for children if needed but parents are welcome to provide their own. I aim to create a safe and fun environment in which children are encouraged to learn new skills and develop as individuals.

My Experience
Informal Childcare: 25 years (my own children)
Formal Childcare: 23 years (11 in Playgroup/Nursery and 12 as a Childminder)
My first childcare experience was gained in a local authority play group where I worked my way up to Playgroup leader from 1995 to 2003. Following this I became the playgroup and crèche leader at a local community centre before leaving this role in 2006 to become an OFSTED registered childminder.

My Availability
I am still available for all parents who are key workers, such as doctors, nurses, police etc in this Coronavirus emergency. I provide childcare for all age ranges.
I am available for Full Time, Part-time, Holidays, School pick-ups and drop-off's, Flexible hours etc.
My normal hours of work are 7am to 6pm Monday to Friday but I am willing to be flexible on prior arrangement. I do not do overnight or weekend childcare as I try to keep this time for myself and my family.
We are open all year round so please call me to discuss your requirements as I am willing to be flexible.

My fees are highly competitive. I offer discount for full time children and siblings and my flat rate for drop off or pick up locally is £6.00

Tab looking after my 2 year old son since a year and it has been best decision of my life. She treats my child as her own. She pays attention on his personal development and on social interactions as well. My son loves to go to tab and get bore at home especially over the weekends. Tab is very cooperative and keeps parents updated with their child daily activities including meals, poo time, play time and nap time. I would highly recommend her for child minding.
Tab follows all ofstead guidelines and make sure your child ia protected and safe in her environment.

Tab looked after my 2 year old daughter for around a year. My daughter settled in well there. Tab not only looked after her usual needs I.e food/ nappies etc, but she also taught numbers, alphabets and rhymes. Tab has been extremely accomodating in terms of pick up and drop off timings.
Also, she has a good sized garden and my Daughter loved playing on the slide.
Tab also accepts tax free childcare transfers ( which is a plus)!
I wish to continue the childcare with her during term breaks.

My little girl started in February with Taby and she gave time and energy to my girl academically and professionally that during weekends she still wanted to see Taby. Her writing got better with her than the nursery which attended.She helped my girl with writing number and alphabets whiles her grandchildren spent lovely time with My girl when they were around.I never worried leaving her with Taby because of how dedicated she is, to the well-being but also been thorough with everything.One thing I appreciate of Taby is that she is flexible and really adapt to parent’s need and have a way of bonding with parents and children.She is definitely a 10/10 for well-being,flexibility,compassion,adapting and been the help you need without stress

My daughter has been going to Tab since she turned 1; she is now 3 years old. As a teacher myself, I was very apprehensive about the development of my daughter in regards to progress and wellbeing. Since my daughter has been under the care of Tab, I have seen her develop leaps and bounds socially and academically. She is a confident young little girl, articulately spoken and has made fantastic progress with her pencil control, shape and number recognition and has developed her love for reading. This is all thanks to the excellent care provided by Tab and the high values she sets. I have nothing but praise and have no hesitation in recommending her to both family and friends.

Tabby has being looking after my daughters since last year. I felt assured that my daughters were well look after. She help the youngest one to catch up with the skills missing during lookdown.
Tabby is a great childminder and helped a lot. I am very pleased with her services.

Tabassum has helped me with childcare during this difficult period of lockdown. As a key worker, I have had unpredictable shifts and long hours. I know that I can trust my 5y old with her. She is always well fed and comes back happy and cared for. I would definitely recommend Tabassum to anyone looking for long-term childcare.

Tabassam looked after my twin girls for two years and they absolutely loved it. From when they turned 13 months to the age of just over 3, they developed massively and learned lots of new skills. Tabi is a very experienced childminder and I would not hesitate to recommend her service to any parents who is looking for a caring, home-like yet organised environment for their children. I am grateful for every piece of advice we received (e.g help with potty training) and the flexibility with drop off and pick up times. Tabi looked after my twins as if they were her own grandchildren and we will definitely miss her a lot.

Both my girls have been with Tabassam youngest one from 6 months. The level of care and attention and love has been outstanding. My girls both settled in very quickly and enjoyed going. Tabbassam creates a loving environment and pays attention to each and every child's needs as well as building a fantastic relationship with the parent. While I was at work I could be at ease knowing my girls were safe and happy with Tabbassam and that's what every parent wants when they leave their children in any childcare setting. The level of flexibility has been great and helpful as I worked shifts. After school Tabbassam would give them fresh delicious food as well as help them with their development and work. My girls felt as if it was their second home which was comforting for me. So proffesional, kind and an amazing childminder. I highly recommend. Wonderful.

Taby is an amazing childminder.
My daughter learned a lot and loved to be at Tanya place.
Her place is well looked after, she cooks nice meals for the children and takes good care of them.

My boys just love Tabi and her flexibility is amazing. Tabi took care of my little baby boy and my eldest son from her very clean home. My eldest use to go by her on school holidays and always come back raving about her cooking and delicious pizzas. She also kept him in his schoolwork as he would always come home with writings, drawings and paintings. My little boy developed very well in her care as well as now he is into books and reading and he is 1 now. He also says some words and is great with showing what he wants. I highly recommend this Childminder she made me feel good about my kids wellbeing and made me feel right at home as I was new to the area.
