About Me

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated person to join a team to support for a 7-year-old boy with complex needs. H is a lovely little boy with the best smile and laugh. He is an absolute joy to look after despite his challenges.

The ideal candidate have a willingness to work with children with disabilities and a passion for enhancing their quality of life. We are looking for around 30 hours plus a week after school (he gets home at 4pm), weekends and school holidays.

Hours can be prorated so you earn the same amount through the year even though you will be doing more hours in the school holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care (including toileting, dressing, and hygiene support)
• Support with mobility and transfers (the child is a wheelchair user)
• Assist with tube feeding
• Engage in sensory play and therapeutic activities
• Support with communication and interaction
• Administer medication and medical interventions as required (training will be provided)
• Work alongside therapists and healthcare professionals to support developmental goals
• Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment

Benefits:
• Competitive hourly rate (£15-£18 per hour). If working 25 hours in the week and 48 in holiday the salary will be between £25-30k per annum.
