About Me

I am a patient, kind, and loving 35-year-old American housewife looking for part-time child care work. I’ve worked in children’s care, entertainment, and instruction for 15 years. English is my first language and I am fluent in Spanish. When home with my professional musician husband and step child, I enjoy cooking, practicing piano and voice, playing video games, and reading. A few times a year I work as a freelance makeup artist, a skill leftover from my time working as a face painter for a children’s entertainment company.

As a caregiver, I’m experienced with care for children of all ages. This experience includes but is not limited to potty training, bathing & bedtime, art projects, attending playgroups, light housekeeping, cooking, running errands— and for instruction— voice lessons, tutoring in Spanish, swim lessons, and more. I have been trained in first aid and CPR in America. I believe in gentle, assertive parenting and individual child need-based care, as well as "life skills training" (meaning I have my kid help with cooking, cleaning and other chores). My beliefs aside, parents make the rules for their own kids and those are the ones I follow.

Unfortunately I haven’t yet gotten my UK license. This is in the process of changing and I have 15 years of driving experience. However, for now, I’m looking for a family with needs inside the home, preferably in central Alton.
