About Me
My name is Alina, I'm 27 years old and have a degree in English Literature and Philosophy from University of Leeds. I have worked in childcare on and off for the last 7 years, stopping during my time studying and working in hospitality instead. I love my job and working with children - it is super fun for me as children can learn the best through play (and we can even learn from them!). I also have two younger sisters aged 9 and 16, so have been spending time with young children since I myself was little so I am somewhat an expert in entertaining and organising a large group of children - whether it be my sisters and their friends or a group of children at my early years setting. I'm punctual and understand the importance of reliability, as well as having knowledge of a range of approaches to child development. I now work in a primary school and have done so for a year and a half, as well as nannying full time prior to this. I’ve had experience with ages 6months-11years old and enjoy each age group equally!
My Experience
I spent my gap year working at Willows Pre-School in London when I was 18 (I’m now 27) and had previously done work experience there when I was a teenager and I absolutely loved it both times, so now I have about 9 years of experience with children on and off. I have worked in four settings, 3 of which had different approach to learning (Froebel, Reggio Emilia and Montessori). I did a degree in English and Philosophy at Leeds University, and now am working towards my teaching qualification working in a primary school as I realised that working with and teaching children is what I want to do. I have first aid training, and I am never afraid to get my hands dirty. I can cook, clean and I'm great with all kinds of children whether they are a little more shy or have a lot of energy. I have been a nanny for a year and have done a year and a half at a primary school which I am currently at - so am looking for evening work during the week Mon - Fri.
My Qualifications
I have over 9 years experience working in a childcare professional setting. I have first aid training, and experience in different approaches in Early Years as well as primary school.
