About Me
My name is Gemma and I have two beautiful children called Ethan and Hallie. I also have two cats called Teddy and Maxi. I am a kind, caring, reliable and trustworthy individual with a passion for working with children.
My childminding business is called Little Gems and I am based in Bulford. I provide childcare in a home from home environment, where children are encouraged to learn through play in a way which meets their individual needs and interests.
We spend lots of time going on adventures with our childminding friends including trips to the woods, park, soft play, farm, baby gym and local playgroup.
My Experience
I have been working with children for over 10 years now. After working in my first day nursery as an apprentice and achieving my NVQ3, I moved to another day nursery where I took on the role of room leader and completed my BA Hons in Children's Development and Learning. Following this I moved to a Pre-School setting which I managed for a year and a half before returning to my previous full day care setting to become Deputy Manager. When I moved to Bulford in 2019 I decided to take on a new adventure as a childminder and have been childminding ever since.
I am safeguarding and first aid trained and have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and how to implement it on a day to day basis to ensure children learn and develop through play in a way which meets the individual needs of the child.
