About Me
Busy working parents with ten-year old boy/girl twins. Our amazing current nanny has been with us for nearly ten years, most of our children’s lives. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, she will be leaving us at the end of this year so we’re looking for a fun, reliable and responsible nanny to join us from January 2025, with some handover required during December. Four day week, Monday-Thursday required.
Minimum core hours 7.30am until school drop-off at 8.45am and school collection at 15.15pm until 18.00pm, plus full-time school holiday cover.
Happy to increase hours to an average of 30 per week across the year.
Must have enhanced DBS and be able to drive.
My Requirements
Due to working fairly unsociable hours, we need a before and after-school nanny to see out the remainder of junior school (final year) and take us into local senior school for around three years. Hours can be topped up to 30 hours average per week across the year, to cover a range of light duties as there’s plenty to do…
Minimum core hours to cover before/after school will be 7.30am until school drop-off (8.45am) and school collection (15:15pm) until 18.00pm.
Day to day responsibilities will include getting the children ready for school, taking to school, making packed lunches, making dinner, supporting homework, organising school clothes for next day, supporting bathing/showering (getting it ready), playing games, arts/crafts, cooking, hosting/taking to play dates (occasional), dropping at local clubs if during working hours etc (not so many) and generally being a fun person to be around for the children.
Additional light duties, if increasing minimum core hours, will include but not be limited to ironing/putting away the children’s clothes, tidying/organising their bedrooms and toys, changing children’s bedding on a weekly basis, sorting seasonal clothes etc.
We also need full-time cover (40 hours) during school holidays, when we are not on holiday ourselves. Likely holiday cover needed: one week during February, one week over Easter, 3-4 weeks across summer holidays, possibly a week during October depending on term dates.
4-day working week, Mon-Thurs.
Other than before and after school cover, hours can be flexible.
