My Summary
About Me
Currently unavailable
Hello! I am an experienced nanny and qualified primary teacher, and have cared for all age ranges from newborn through to teenage. I work closely with parents, caring for their children to the high standard they themselves provide.
I enjoy organising creative activities for children, playing games with them, taking them out and about and keep a tidy and organised home environment. I am optimistic and consistent, easy going but clear about rules and boundaries too.
I am passionate about building children’s confidence in their abilities and finding fun ways to encourage learning and development, learning through play, exploring outdoors, trying new things etc. Happy to help with homework and any school subjects requiring extra support.
Enhanced DBS check done at start of previous role.
Public liability insurance.
Excellent references and CV available on request.
My Experience
I have recently done some ad hoc days looking after a two year old.
I was in my previous role for over two years, caring for two fantastic primary age children and helping them with their busy timetables. This involved ensuring they arrived at school, clubs and appointments in good time; assisting with homework; cooking healthy meals; maintaining a clean and tidy environment; reminding and prompting of tasks etc. Basically everything parents do on a daily basis. I organised trips out over school holidays such as to the beach, we played games and did fun activities - outdoors mainly!
I have attended several paediatric first aid courses throughout my career, which have allowed me to confidently handle any situation requiring first aid. I plan to complete an online refresher course before starting a new role, and attend a course again when possible.
I have worked as a teaching assistant, class teacher, and home tutor (primary maths).
My Qualifications
