My Summary
About Me
My name is Fiona i am 22 years old currently living in Ladywood Birmingham, i am available for occasional babysitting please ask me for my availability or let me know the day/s you will need me for, start and finish time
Children need someone who believes in them and encourages them to become the person they want to be. Working with children and assisting them in accomplishing their life objectives is one of my greatest ambitions. I like talking with toddlers on their level and learning about their perspectives on life.
My grasp on early childhood education studies grew because of my sociology and psychology studies. I've realised that every child's childhood is distinct since they all come from various backgrounds. Jean Piget suggested that "Through play, children develop their intellectual, emotional, perceptual-motor, and social skills".
My passion for teaching children grew due to my job experience as an apprentice at a local nursery. This included organising my schedule and offering one-on-one and group help to children struggling with arithmetic, reading, and writing. I made sure that the toddlers I was assisting could participate in learning and remain on target throughout the class. I also had to make sure that I could see things through the eyes of a child and that I could be creative when addressing difficulties so that the kids could grasp them better.
My Experience
I have recently stoped working in a nursery in London after working there for nearly two years, I have come to Birmingham to study heath care management so I can open my own children’s clinic by the time I’m 30. I was a young nursery practitioner for the 2-3 years old but I have experience with ages 6months to the age 11 years old
Working with children was the most fascinating and thrilling experience of my life. Just knowing that every day I'll be helping them grow, experiencing their accomplishments, and overcoming challenges excites me. This validated my long-held desire to work with young children.
We helped toddlers in class and at meals at Millfield Primary School. I worked with parents, kids, and employees. That experience taught me the usefulness of modest routine responsibilities in establishing children's sense of security in the educational system. I quickly learned how to handle children that needed my help. A rewarding way to help others while still prioritising their needs is to volunteer. I've gained knowledge and competence in child protection and child welfare. These work experiences have helped me develop my communication abilities. I can speak calmly and carefully.
So I volunteered for the National Citizen Service (NCS), As a result of its location in a park, the nursery in Camden had to be refurbished. The nursery's facility needed to be refurbished since it was hazardous for the kids. My fundraising group split off and travelled around Camden promoting the daycare. A month of doing this netted us £2800! I discovered I could build rapport with them without losing my authority. When given the chance, children may acquire new skills and gain a greater understanding of the world. This endeavour will be extremely rewarding, based on prior experiences. In my opinion, professional teaching would help me achieve my long-term goals. My enthusiasm, optimism, and keen interest in this course, I believe, will help me build a successful career working with children and leadership qualities in the future. There is no better path to take.

I hired Fiona for one day to babysit my child as I had no one to look after my little one. This was short notice but I am very glad I went with Fiona she was patient, caring and loving. She does light cooking and cleaning and is very good with time management. She impressed me and my husband so much that we hired her again for a week, we will definitely keep Fiona on speed dial!!!
Where to start? Fiona is a fantastic nanny and a fun energetic young lady who really knows how to connect with children. She is part of the family, a big sister to the little ones. If I am ever in need of a nanny again I'll go straight to her !! She is a great cook , keeps the place nice and tidy and not once have i had any sort of issue with the way she looks after my boys. Honestly I trust her more than my own family . Definitely recommend her service! : )
My kids adore Fiona, they want you to come back! You were like apart of the family, you were fun, enthusiastic, caring, common sense as well as being trust worthy.
