About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder offering quality childcare in Watford.
I aim to provide a safe, secure environment for all children in my care with a fun, friendly atmosphere.
I endeavour to treat each child as an individual and tailor the care to their specific likes and needs.
I provide a home from home environment with a dedicated play room. I also have a large, enclosed, well equipped garden.
Weather permitting we go out daily to the library, parks, childminder groups and age appropriate activity mornings.
I also aim to have regular special outings esp during the school holidays
I believe that no one knows a child better than it's parents therefore the care of your child is discussed with you so that you can feel happy that your child is cared for in a manner in which you are comfortable.
Each child has a memory book to share their day with those at home.

My Experience
A degree educated accountant by trade I decided to re-train as a childminder after the birth of my daughter.
While at University I worked as a Learning Support Assistant for a primary school and therefore have extensive classroom experience. I have continued to stay in close contact with the school and work as a maths and english tutor. I am therefore familiar with the curriculum for older children and EYFS for younger children.
My Qualifications
I have a paediatric first aid qualification, and full CRB Check.
BA ( Hons) Accounting and Finance
Cache level 3 in home based childcare
Safeguarding certificate
My Availability
Monday to Friday 6am to 7pm are the standard hours, however I aim to be flexible to accomodate your specific needs

My Fees
Rates are from £5 per hour. Rates and hours are discussed with each parent and adapted to suit each situation. I offer a flexible approach to the day to accommodate family life, however I also work to strict policies and guidelines to protect the children and their environment.
My Local Schools
This childminder has not yet informed us whether or not they provide any drop off or pick up services at local schools.

Laura looked after my daughter from age 9 to 19 months and she has been amazing!
Lovely home from home setting which made going back to work so much easier.
There is plenty of communication with weekly update emails, menus and a verbal update daily
My daughter was always happy to go to Laura, full of smiles when we parted ways which is worth its weight in gold!
My family is relocating but we will miss Laura!
