Hello dear parents and carers,
I am a highly experienced and Registered Ofsted Childminder based in the Middleton area of Manchester, with over 10 years of professional experience working with children. I am a dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic childcare professional whose passion is to support children’s development and help them thrive in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
I hold Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualifications, an Enhanced DBS check, and a Paediatric First Aid certificate. I have an excellent understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and strong experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring inclusive and individualised care for every child.
I provide a warm home-from-home setting (mini nursery) where children feel secure, valued, and encouraged to explore and learn. My practice is inspired by Montessori principles, focusing on child-led learning, independence, and confidence.
I believe every child is unique and develops at their own pace. I plan purposeful, well-structured activities that promote learning through play, creativity, and enjoyment. I maintain detailed learning journals in line with the EYFS framework and work closely in partnership with parents by sharing observations and progress regularly.
I provide healthy, nutritious meals and snacks tailored to children’s dietary needs and remain committed to continuous professional development to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being.

My Experience
I have over 10 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including nurseries, schools, and home-based childcare environments. Throughout my career, I have supported children from infancy through early childhood, helping them develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively in a safe and nurturing setting.
My experience includes planning and delivering age-appropriate, purposeful activities aligned with the EYFS framework, establishing consistent routines, and promoting positive behaviour. I have extensive experience observing and recording children’s development through learning journals and sharing progress with parents to ensure continuity of care and learning.
I have worked with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting activities and using inclusive strategies to support individual needs. I also have experience supporting emotional regulation, communication development, and independence through play-based and child-led approaches.
In addition, I have managed my own childcare setting, giving me strong skills in organisation, safeguarding, risk assessment, and partnership working with parents and professionals. I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and well-being for every child
My Qualifications
I hold Level 2 and Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualifications, along with an Early Years Education graduation at high school level. I have completed Paediatric First Aid, Universal (Welcoming) Training, Safeguarding Training, and Health and Safety Code Training.
My Availability
I offer full-time and part-time childcare, including before and after school club sessions and holiday club care. I am flexible and can adjust my hours to meet the specific needs of families. Please contact me to discuss availability and any individual requirements.

Derya looked after my daughter nearly a year, not only does she provide a safe and educational environment for her but she also provides a happy one. Derya and her assistant both been great with my girl and have showed patient and understanding. The setting is always clean and inviting for the children's. Dchildcare provides daily feedback about activities, food or other important stuff.

Since carter has been at this nursey,he has came along so well! Derya and other staff are excellent and carter found it very comfortable and was so happy to be there. He’s come on so we’ll with speech and activities and learning and achieving his set goals

Derya is looking after my daughter since October 2021. From day 1 Derya welcomed my daughter is a unique way, after a bad experience with nurses around the area, Derya took control of my daughters emotions and she settled her in few days. Derya keeps me inform during the day on what activities they do, playing time, & mealtime. Derya and Nicole have a special bounding with my daughter which makes me really happy!
I can't recommend Derya Childminder enough!
