working for a family with 2 children who are both schooled in the Kensington and Chelsea area. I have been with the family for 5 years and the children are now aged 10 and 12. I have seen them both grow into caring, smart and creative independent individuals.
My main responsibilities are :
• School drop offs and pick ups
• Take children to after school clubs or activities
• Organising the children’s laundry and ironing, making sure the children have everything they need for the next day
• Wardrobe and playroom maintenance and ensuring their bedrooms are tidy and have all necessary supplies
• Cooking fresh healthy dinners daily (breakfast and lunch during holidays) I encourage the children to choose what they would like to eat, try new recipe’s and help prepare what they can
• Supervise homework/helping prepare them for 11+ exams
• During the pandemic I supported both children with home schooling
• Bath and bed times
• Planning and organising the children’s birthday parties based on their interests
• Organising fun and entertaining play dates
• When the family go on holiday I have the responsibility of packing everything the children will need
• Manage PA responsibilities for the family
• During the holidays I make sure we have many activities planned from outdoor sports, fun outings, educational activities, baking, arts and craft days

Nanny

Currently working as a nanny for a family looking after a 3 year old boy, I spend time creating imaginative and engaging activities covering all areas of the EYFS and preparing him to be school ready I also take him out to different group activities in the local area. I strive to provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment to help independence and overall development. I am also very confident at planing nutritious and varied meals. I am also first aid trained with several years training around safeguarding. When I am not nannying I work at Bromley day nursery as a pre school nursery nurse, I have also experience working with all other age groups within the nursery including babies.

Intervention Support Assistant / Learner Support Assistant

Worked in Year 2 for 2 years and I also have 2 years experience working in Reception. I carry out the regular duties of a teaching assistant supporting the teacher with planning and setting up and supporting the children’s learning in a in the free flow classroom environment. I also have a group of key children I work with who have varying needs, such as speech and language difficulties, children whose first language is not English and also children with behavioural issues. I work with these children everyday on a one to one basis to make sure they are progressing and achieving the expectations in order to reach the early learning goal at the end of the year. I also have my own phonics group who I teach speeds sounds to and letter formation, in order for them to be able to read and write independently.
