About Me
I am a young, friendly and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for working with children.
I was a Teaching Assistant for 7 years, working across the primary year groups but with most experience in year 6. As well as being extremely familiar with the primary curriculum, I can communicate effectively with children creating the best outcome for their learning.
I am willing to do anything to help a child with their education and impact on their life positively.
To add to my experience I have achieved a First-class degree in Education Studies (Primary). This degree has helped me understand how to deliver the curriculum through effective pedagogy.
As well as tutoring, I offer babysitting as well.
My Experience
I have 7 years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school. I have worked with children in reception all the way up to year 6. I am currently working in year 6 where I have been preparing the children to sit their SATS.
I have experience of working with those with EAL and SEN - I have worked 1:1 with children with ADHD, ADD, autism, speech and language difficulties and general learning difficulties throughout my career.
During my time as a teaching assistant, I have learnt many techniques and methods on how to suit learning to the individual and I have years of experience to deal with issues promptly. To add to this I have taken part in autism, inclusion and multi-sensual learning training to support learning.
I am basic first aid trained and have been on a course with a certificate to prove. I have also received epilepsy, diabetes, catheter and epipen training. To add to this I have a wide experience of working with children with allergies. I am also DBS checked (I can provide you with the certificate if necessary).
I have a wide access to curriculum resources which I can use to professionally prepare tutoring sessions with your child.
Alternatively, I am willing and very good at helping with housekeeping, bedtime routines and preparing food if babysitting requirements are desired.
My Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Education Studies (Primary), First-class Honours
- CACHE level 2 in Teaching and Learning in Schools
- First aid trained
- 13 GCSE certificates - 2 A’s 9 B’s and 2 C’s (Maths A/English B/Science B)
- 3 A-Levels in English Language, English Literature and Economics
