About Me
Hello!
I am currently in the pre-registration stage of becoming a childminder. I live in Tyldesley (just ashort walk from Garrett Hall Primary School), with my husband and 3 children (20yrs, 17yrs and 8yrs). I am a kind, friendly and caring person and offer a safe, fun, learning environment for children to flourish in.
We have a generously sized, designated children's playroom, with an adjoining conservatory, leading to a safe garden. I have 30 yrs experience of working with children, initially as a nanny, then a Nursery Nurse and most recently as a Primary School Teacher (EYFS/KS1/KS2).
Our home is smoke free and we have two small friendly dogs. Outdoor play is high on the agenda, in the garden and with trips out to the park and other outdoor spaces. My experience in EYFS enables me to plan a variety of age appropriate, learning experiences, making children excited to learn. Sand and water play, singing and story time, craft activities, movement and dance, role-play and phonics.
Health eating plays a big role in our setting and we offer homemade food. We actively encourage independence, by involving the children in food activities, through cooking and baking, meal preparation, laying the table and tidying up afterwards.
