About Me
I am an Ofsted registered Childminder in Oakdale, Poole, very close to local schools.
I live with my husband and our 3 children, who are 13, 7 and 3.
I enjoy being active, the beach, walking and exploring with the children but equally I’m very crafty and love to incorporate this with seasonal topics for fun learning and messy play on a rainy day.
There is a well equipped playroom with activities and toys for all different ages and abilities with free flow to the garden.
My Experience
Prior to becoming an ofsted registered childminder, I had over 11 years worth of experience working with children as a nurse within the NHS.
I then took the next step in my career and became a childminder, using years of experience with children, to provide the best possible care and continue my professional development within childcare.
I also have 13 years personal experience with my own children, along with experience with ASD and Tourette’s Syndrome.

I was so apprehensive leaving my baby with someone at just 3 months old but as soon as I met Lucy those fears went away!
He has been with Lucy for 4 months now and he absolutely loves her! He’s full of smiles as soon as we get to the door! I know when I leave for work that my son is going to be In incredible hands!

My daughter absolutely loves going to Lucy, bring extremely shy I was worried how she would settle at first but she has really settled in well. Lucy takes such wonderful care and sends me the loveliest updates throughout the day! I think it’s great that Lucy also not only looks after the children in the home but also keeps them active by taking them for walks and to places like the library.

Lucy is a great childminder!! my little girl settled in really quickly, gets really excited to go and loves spending her days there. I get updates for peace of mind and know she is happy and safe.
