My Requirements

PART TIME LIVE OUT NANNY FOR FAMILY IN BROCKLEY, SE4

Hello! We are a fun-loving and busy family of two girls (Eliza aged 6 and Alice, turning 3 in October), two working parents (Annie and Rich), and two teenage boys (Theo, 14 and Aidan, 16) who live with us every other weekend and a day mid week - their remaining time is spent at their mother’s house nearby.

We are looking for a flexible, calm and warm nanny to join our happy household and provide 22 hours of childcare a week, Monday-Thurs. This would be wraparound childcare on three days plus one full day of childcare. We are also willing to agree additional hours if you needed them - e.g. regular evening or weekend babysitting slots.

During the school holidays the hours would increase - up to 39 per week as four full days of childcare Mon-Thu. We can agree and plan this in advance of each holiday. This means the school holiday hours would be much greater than the term time hours. We’re hoping this might suit someone with varying work or study commitments which overlap with the UK school holiday calendar. We would be happy to pay you an averaged monthly salary to give you a consistent income across the year if you would prefer this.

Our family has employed three nannies previously (each for several years at a time before they left to pursue other interests) and can provide references to confirm we are a supportive and flexible employer.

We are looking for someone who:

- Has a minimum of three years successful and recent experience with children of similar ages.
- Has excellent contactable references
- Has a clean and up to date Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities are explained in more detail below but the most important aim is to build nurturing and supportive relationships with the girls - to become a trusted adult in their lives.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Local nursery drop offs and pick ups for Alice - nursery is a 20 minute walk away.
2. Getting Eliza ready for school pick up (we have a lift-sharing arrangement with two other families)
3. Doing one school pick up per week (either by public transport or by car if you have your own / are willing to drive ours)
4. After school care including making a healthy dinner, taking to local classes and supervising homework and reading.
5. Full daytime care Monday - Thursday during the majority of school holidays.


BENEFITS INCLUDE:

- Paid time off during UK school holidays (statutory minimum guaranteed and highly likely to be greater than this as we will be taking additional holiday as a family)
- Zero obligation but if interested, there may be an opportunity to join some family vacations e.g. skiing during the winter season. These would be classed and paid as working days but you would work reduced hours, giving you additional time to explore and enjoy the location.

You will be working closely with me (Annie) who is a project manager and Chief of Staff with extensive experience of people management, leading teams and operating in complex environments. A few admin points:

- If you have your own car this would be really helpful e.g. for flexibility on school pick ups
- If you have a driving licence and are willing to drive our car this would also be useful but not essential either.
