About Me
I am a GSA graduate originally from Portsmouth. I’m 30 and currently working in the SEND at Guildford college. I have two brothers, one with special needs, and two sisters. My family live in Australia and I live with my partner in Guildford. I thoroughly love my job as I get to work with fantastic young adults whose enthusiasm for life spurs me on everyday.
My Experience
I am the eldest of 5 and my brother has special needs. Due to circumstances I looked after them a lot and with my current position at Guildford college I feel I am equipped to help take care of young people and children with special needs. I am qualified in Makaton Level 3, finger spell and some BSL. I also am trained in guide for the visually impaired. I am epilepsy trained (including emergency epilepsy meds) and also trained in AAI pen administration. I am also trained in taking glucose levels and responding appropriately to the readings. My MAPA training has just been renewed 02/09/21.

MA Degree- Acting- Guildford School of Acting (University of Surrey)- Distinction
SEN Diploma Level 1,2,3,4
Epilepsy trained (including emergency meds)
Eppi Pen trained

MAPA trained
Training in PECS
Some experience with AAC devices
Diabetes trained
First aid trained- expires 25.10.2024
My Availability
I work term time only so am available for half terms and summer holidays. The occasional care could be considered term time.
