About Me
I am an Ofsted registered "Good" award setting.
I am a qualified SENCo (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator).
I have great reviews from my families and care for children from birth onward.
I have a lovely home from home setting, which is clean and safe and has a lovely secure garden, which the children can access. I do daily outings with children to parks, toddler groups, beaches, woods, and special events in the area.
I am DBS checked as well as all members of my household, and I hold a full current
Paediatric First Aid certificate.
I accept all ages of the childcare government funding, tax-free childcare, and college funding.
I am trained in PEG feeding, special educational needs, behavioural issues, epilepsy, dietry intollerances/allergies, and diabetes care.
I have 5 cats, which are all very friendly and used to children. All have flea/worm treatment regularly. We also have frogs in an inside enclosure.
I have raised 4 children. One lives away at university, and the other three are still living at home. They are all 18+ now, but all engage lovely with the children. They build up beautiful bonds with the children who have been in my care over the time I have been a childminder.
My daughter and my two eldest sons both hold full current Paediatric First Aid certificates, and have Safeguarding qualifications. My eldest son is a Skilled Practitioner and my middle son is a Police Officer, my daughter, has her Level 2 qualification and works with me.
My Experience
I have worked as a support worker with young adults with disabilities, special needs and behavioural issues.
Previously to this role I worked as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. I have also worked as a Health Care Assistant on the nurse bank, at Southend hospital.
I have numerous qualifications including diabetes awareness, emergency meds, PEG feed, oxygen therapy plus many more.

My Availability
** I have one space (0-5yrs old) becoming available from August 2025 **
I offer term-time, year round, holiday cover, after-school care contracts.
I am available for pick-up from The Westborough Primary School.
My available hours are 8am to 5pm, Tuesday through to Friday. Extended hours may be available upon discussion.

My son was with Debbie for just under 2 years and was very impressed with the care provided. My son was always excited to go and always showed signs of a good day, he enjoyed going out on adventures and playing, he was always knackered when he come home so always a good sign of a good day. He has developed so well and will miss coming each week. Would deffo recommend this setting.

Debbie has been a wonderful childminder to my daughter for the past year. She took Olivia out almost daily, rain or shine, snow or windy, and takes the most precious photos. Debbie has good knowledge of the EYFS and implements this daily in a fun and child led way, but any adult assisted activities were always really lovely cards or homemade gifts for us for special occasions etc.
Debbie is professional but we developed a lovely relationship over time and my Olivia absolutely adored Debbie and her wonderful children!
As an early years professional myself, and child carer, I would highly recommend Debbie from a professional point of view and most importantly as a parent!
Olivia was always safe, well fed, well loved and always came home ready for a good night’s sleep and excited for the next day at “Debbie’s house”

Debbie has been the most wonderful childminder I could have asked for and will be sorely missed!
I had visited a few childcare settings before her, but as soon as my Son met her he was smiling and giggling - the only person he did this with during our search. I knew that she was the one!
My Son stayed with Debbie from 4 months up until 10 months and her house became like a second home for him. He was always happy when I came to collect him and we never had a traumatic drop off.
Debbie was amazing at putting my mind at ease during those early days when I struggled to be apart from my boy. She has always been great at maintaining contact, always giving me updates throughout the day and sending my pictures which I will treasure forever!
Debbie always respected my decisions as a mother, whether that be storing my breastmilk for his feeds, working with me during the weaning process and asking me before introducing new foods.
My son will really miss seeing not only Debbie, but her family too. Her family really are a credit to her. I would send my son here again in a heartbeat but we had to move out the area, unfortunately! Finding another childminder is going to be tough when we have Debbie to live up to!
