About Me
I am a Mum of twin girls and a son whom all attend school. I am an OFSTED registered childminder. I love to be outdoors, visiting places and being creative. I have a welcoming home which is calm and relaxed following what the children are interested in.
My Experience
I have worked in schools and nurseries for over 20+ years. I started at 17 working in private nurseries and then in schools. I then trained as a teacher and taught for 16 years. I’m I am highly experienced with working with preschool children getting them ready for school. I have a child with additional needs so I have a lot of experience with adapt activities to meet the child’s individual needs which a nursery cannot always do. I am able to fill in and carry out all paper work relevant for those with IEPs.
As a Mum of twins it gave me the awareness of how babies and children have individual needs and develop at various stages.
My Qualifications
I am a fully qualified teacher and a trained Nursery Nurse.
I have my paediatric first aid training, health and hygiene as well as a certificate in allergies.
I have been inspected by the food standards agency and was rates 5*. Ofsted inspected graded Good.
My Availability
I am available from 7.30 till 5.30.

my daughter started going to Catherine 4days a week before lockdown started.
I was very apprehensive about going back to work and leaving my 9month old but I felt at ease straight away when I met Catherine and her family.
My daughter loves going, they treat her like one of the family and her little face lights up when she see her. She was always so happy when she got home and slept through every night after their Daily adventures 😊 (Always a bonus).
Even while we have been in lockdown Catherine has kept in regular contact with us and even dropped my daughter a little Easter gift off.
She’s truly lovely and I’m very settled knowing my daughters well looked after x

my son goes to Catherine twice a week, he looks forward to going and always comes home full of stories about his day. Since he has been going to Catherine’s his speech, writing skills, imagination and life skills have improved so much. It has filled me with more confidence that he will have a nice transition into school life. I will certainly be using Catherine again for my other children.

Catherine is a fantastic childminder, right from the very first meeting with my daughter and I she made us feel welcome, comfortable and at ease. My daughter attending settling in sessions prior to starting and the communication and updates I received put me at ease.Her home is warm and welcoming with great resources available for the children to play and learn with. I used the service in the first two weeks when my daughter started school and needed collecting early whilst I could not get out of work. This was a big change in my daughters life starting school but Catherine made the transition for her easy. taking into account my daughters interests and setting up fun activities based around what she enjoyed doing. I would highly recommend her services and wouldn't hesitate to use her again in the future.
