About Me
My name is Lucy and I run a lovely home based childcare setting with my 2 assistants.
We are based in South East London situated in close proximity to Kidbrooke Village and Mottingham Village but easily accessible for the whole of Eltham and surrounding areas.
There is ample free parking around our home and we are walking distance from Kidbrooke, Eltham and Mottingham station.
We work from a purpose built nursery/play room that looks out onto our large garden.
We have a phonics teacher that visits weekly to teach the children in a fun and age appropriate way. Pet rabbits to care for and very gentle dog who often sometimes accompanies us on our regular walks to the park.
As required by ofsted our care is based on the EYFS structure and guidelines. We always endeavour to treat the children in our setting as if they were our own whilst maintaining a professional standard of care.
Our main aim is to offer a loving, fun and nurturing environment for all children that we care for and ensure parents feel safe in the knowledge their children are receiving the very best care while they are away from them.

My daughter Trixie has been going to Dolly Daycare for nearly a year now! She absolutely loves it, like home from home! The girls who works there are amazing and literally love Trixie like their own! I know trixie is safe and well looked after! I would never send trixie anywhere else! It’s like a big family there, so personal and the things that Lucy and the girls do with them are amazing! I can’t fault them at all! And so grateful my daughter gets to come here with such loving girls! Thank you for looking after Trixie! They get lovely fresh food cook also everyday! Snacks anything you could think off! X

We have tried a few childminders before setting with Lucy. Our daughter is happy being there and has learned a lot. Zula has also gained a lot of friends and always excited whenever we drop her off. Lucy communicates well on how the day went and gives update on our daughter’s development.
I highly recommend Dolly’s Daycare. They are just exceptional!

Lucy and her team provide an atmosphere full of love, care, kindness, learning and fun! Our daughter has been with Lucy since she was 2 and has absolutely thrived. As parents of a child with a physical disability we were very anxious having had negative childcare experiences before meeting Lucy. Since then, our daughter has absolutely thrived. Lucy and her team have been so attentive, reassuring and encouraging. I genuinely believe our daughter could not have been in better hands. We will never be able to fully explain how grateful we are for what Lucy offered us as a family.

I highly recommend Lucy as an exceptional childminder. Our daughter Sophie started with Lucy when she turned 2 years old, with no English language skills. However, after just a year under Lucy's care, Sophie has become a fluent English speaker. This remarkable progress is a testament to Lucy's dedication and skill in nurturing children's language development.
Lucy's kindness and attentiveness towards Sophie have made a tremendous impact on our family. Sophie is always thrilled to spend time with Lucy, and her happiness is evident in the way she talks about her experiences. We are grateful for the positive environment Lucy creates, where our child feels safe, loved, and supported.
One aspect of Lucy's childminding service that we particularly appreciate is the emphasis on outdoor activities. With a spacious garden available, the children have ample opportunities to play and explore in a natural setting. We are delighted to see how much time they spend outdoors, as it contributes to their physical and emotional well-being.
Furthermore, Lucy's regular trips to Sutcliffe Park are an added bonus. The fact that the children have the chance to visit this park weekly indicates Lucy's commitment to providing a diverse range of experiences for the kids in her care. It's wonderful to know that Sophie is not only thriving linguistically but also enjoying the outdoors and discovering new places.

We are so impressed with Dolly’s Daycare and highly recommend. Lucy and her team are the fantastic combination of kind and caring alongside providing a safe, fun and educational environment.
Our daughter started attending full-time when she was nearly two years old in 2020 and my baby boy started attending recently as I prepare to return to work after maternity leave. Knowing my baby boy will be wonderfully looked after by Lucy and her team makes it much easier to leave him in full time childcare when I return to work as I know he is the best hands.
We had a horrendous experience with a previous childminder with our daughter and we were hugely concerned about finding a nurturing environment that we (and my daughter) could trust again. Lucy was a true blessing for our family and I can’t recommend Dolly’s Daycare enough!

Lucy has welcomed my little girl who she has had since has been 20 months old with such open arms! From day one I had told her what I was after and how my daughters character was and she has been so nurturing and accommodating. If I have any concerns she always reassures me and provides me with daily updates and photos which was a BIG thing for me as I liked to know what my daughter had done throughout the day.
My little girl is so happy to be dropped off in the morning she literally skips to the front door. I know she is happy there and when I see the other children it always looks like such a fun happy stimulating environment. Would definitely recommend Lucy!

Lucy is such a warm and lovely person. The setting she has designed in her home is a wonderland for children and they have access to her large garden to play in as well. Every day is different and full of fun, filled with indoor and outdoor activities and games as well as much needed calm and downtime. Her home is near Sutcliffe Park which is great for trips out and time at the playground.
Our daughter started there just before her 1st birthday and is now just over 2. She absolutely loves her days with Lucy and the brilliant environment she's created, as well as the joy that her and her team bring to the day, have been central to forming the confident and happy little girl that's she's become.
We couldn't be happier!

To say Lucy is an amazing childminder feels like an understatement, she is everything we could have hoped for when choosing someone to look after our son, and so much more! She is the most caring, loving, reasonable, reassuring and understanding person, and has the most amazing team working with her. Our son absolutely loves Lucy and has the best time with her and all the other children. His day is filled with so much fun, activities and outings, so much more then we could provide him whilst working full time. We trust Lucy implicitly and have no concerns when our son is in her care. Rest assured, when choosing Lucy as your childminder, your child will always come first and will be in the very best care!

I was very nervous when I had to start looking for a childminder but soon as I met lucy I just had this good feeling straight away.
I had met with a lot of childminders in the area and no one seemed to give me that reassurance like she did. I knew I had to go with my intuition. My son took to her straight away and it is clear she has a strong passion for working with children. I feel she treats my son like he is part of her family and he tells me every day 'I love Lucy'.
He is thriving so well in her setting and his speech appears to be developing tremendously since being with her. My son is always so excited to see Lucy and sometimes doesn't even want to leave. I cannot thank lucy enough for just being her! she truly is amazing and anyone that gets a placement with her will know they made the best decision for there little one.

I definitely found choosing the right childcare for my one-year-old (and first baby) a minefield, so I’m so grateful to have found Lucy and her lovely family setting. Lucy made us feel welcome and relaxed from day one, and though I was nervous, I found her knowledge and professionalism really reassuring. She’s caring, understanding and flexible – everything we could have wanted, and (most importantly) I know my little one was very happy there.
