About Me
I live in a small town by the sea in East Devon, I enjoy the outdoors, walking and crochet, I was a cub scout leader in a local village for 17years
I am a firm believer in fresh air and being outside whenever possible, Nature and the outdoors can be used as such a positive educator for all ages, here at Pixies we get out to the beach, local parks attractions such as Escot whenever possible, I am planning on planting our own vegetables garden and doing crafts, sand and water play, music and the list goes on. I am an experienced outdoor learning practitioner.
I am a very experienced childminder, and in over 25 years I have worked in a lead role in Nurseries and at a local primary school running the preschool. At Pixies we use a child led open ended play approach helping to develop children's imagination and be creative, keeping TV and screen time to a minimum.
