About Me
Hi, my name is Veronica Donnelly and I have been a childminder for 29 years. I have five children of my own aged between 22 and 33, and four grandchildren aged between 9 and 2. I have always lived in Great Barr and do school drop offs and collections from St Marks RC primary school and Holy Name Nursery. I have been graded Good by Ofsted and have uploaded my report for you to view.
My home is a clean and safe environment for children to explore and learn in. I have a very large garden and outside playroom which all the children love and alot of the time they don't want to go home. I provide a wide range of activites for the children to take part it and also have a wide range of resources.
My Experience
I have been a childminder for 29 years and absolutely love my job. I enjoy looking after and caring for children ensuring they feel safe at all times. I always keep up to date with relevant training and I implement and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage. I have looked after children of all age groups and have strong relationships with all my families. My daughter Sarah has been working with me as my assistant over the last 2 years which has been a great addition to the setting.

My son started attending summer 2021 just before his 1st birthday and he absolutely loves going. Veronica and Sarah do so much with him, he happily walks off in and most days doesn’t want to leave. He is developing so well and I believe it is because of all the various activities they do with him. I often get sent photos, updates on what he’s doing, it’s like a second home to him :-)

Veronica and Sarah were a God sent for us. They have been looking after our daughter since she was 6 months old. We have always find them to be very friendly and welcoming. Children there always seem to be happy and enjoying themselves. They are very creative and keep the children interested in activities indoors and in the garden. Our daughter has always been very happy in there. She call Veronica her nanny.
Veronica and Sarah are very helpful and always try their best to do everything they can to makes it easier for parents. Particularly with their flexibility in early opening times.
They have very spacious and amazing garden, play area in the house and in the white room.
Definitely highly recommended.

Veronica has looked after both my girls since they were around 9 months old, they are now in junior and senior school. Her house and garden are a lovely happy setting that is well equipped with educational and fun equipment. She is always very welcoming and loving to the girls who say she is like another nanny to them. They both enjoy spending time there and can't wait to tell me all about their day.

When choosing a childminder for my daughter when i returned to work after maternity leave, i was very anxious about choosing the right one. Veronica and Sarah were recommended to me. I can honestly say i made the right decision because they have had my daughter in their care since she was 8 months old and she is now 2 years old. My daughter loves going to their home an is always happy to go and happy there, she loves playing with all the children and her development since she has been there has really come along. Sarah and Veronica do a lot of amazing activities with the children and are always sending work my daughter has done home to show me. Veronica's home is lovely always clean and tidy and her back garden is a child's dream, my daughter loves spending time in there. I can not recommend Veronica and Sarah enough, they are amazing people and childminders.

I have sent two of my children to Veronica and Sarah and honestly they have the best time ever. My youngest who still attends says 'going to nanny's'. I am able to leave him and know he his in the best care whilst i am at work. He always has a fun filled day and i get lovely photos and updates sent through to my phone throughout the day. He loves both Veronica and Sarah and has so much fun in their lovely garden! When he comes home he loves telling us all about his day!

Veronica and Sarah are lovely, I wouldn’t send my boys anywhere else in their early years. They have learnt so much from them and they just think of going to Veronica’s like they are of to their nanny’s house! A nice home from home environment that made them and me feel very relaxed when I 1st had to leave them. They do all sorts of different activities and learn different skills to prepare them for school. They have always kept me up to date with anything they need to when they have been in their care. Couldn’t recommend them any more!

Veronica has such a brilliant home, that offers so much more than you would expect from a childminder. The outdoor area and playrooms give the children so much freedom to play and explore, in a space that would rival most nurseries, but still maintaining a homely feel.
From personal experience Veronica looked after my brother, sister and I as children, and now looks after my daughter. Veronica and Sarah make my daughter feel at home, and she is so happy to be with them (and my daughter doesn't like anyone, so that's a massive achievement).
It's very evident how much they care for all of the children they look after, and provide a safe, happy, nurturing and educational environment at the same time. I cannot recommend Veronica and Sarah enough, and am so grateful for the excellent care that they provide for my little one.

I have been sending my son to Veronica and Sarah for 5 years now. I originally picked a child minder rather than a nursery as I wanted my son to have a more home from home setting when I went back to work as I was really anxious about leaving him. He has been going to Veronica's since he turned 1 and he absolutely loves going (the problem is trying to get him to leave!). He adores both Veronica and Sarah. She provides a wonderful large outdoor and indoor space for him to learn and grow, is extremely flexible and cares for him like he is her own son. She keeps me updated with things he has been doing which is wonderful when you first leave them and can't help but worry. His days are always filled with wonderful activities when he is there and he is extremely happy there. I can't speak highly enough of both Veronica and Sarah. If I were to ever have another child I wouldn't send them anywhere else.
